Why walk when you can ride? Buenos Aires is big, flat, filled with bike trails, and way too beautiful to experience behind a bus window, so touring the city by bike is the best way too see more in less time. Our guided tours are safe, cover the best parts of the city, follow many of the newly constructed bike paths, and stop frequently allowing you freedom from the bike to explore on foot, take photos, eat delicious Asado (Bondiola, veggie options also available) and try traditional refreshments (Yerba mate). Visit our website to find out more about what we do, who we are, and why you should join us for an unforgettable day Biking Buenos Aires!

Do this first after arriving in Buenos Aires. It will give you essential Information to understand this country and its people and will fast forward you from the initial sight seeing to the cultural diving stage. My guide Megan was fun and helpful. In the end I knew how to drink mate, get pesos from ATM, reload my sube, find... More

I tried the Heart of the City tour and it was amazing. A very different way to see and explore the city. Rodrigo, the guide, was also very friendly, funny and knew a lot about the history of the places!

We loved our tour but especially our guide, Marcelo! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Argentina and Buenos Aires and had an interesting and fun way of relating it to what we saw. Definitely worth the time and money!

Based on the great reviews on TripAdvisor we've chosen to participate in the full day city tour on bicycle operated by Biking Buenos Aires (7 hours). We enjoyed every minute of it!! We were lucky to be the only two guests guided by 3 amazing guys: Ray, Jackson and Renzo, who did a fantastic job. They really went that extra... More

What a way to start our two week holiday in Buenos Aires! The tour was perfectly suited to both those new to Argentina, and even those who have lived there their whole life. Initially, I thought we wouldn't survive = bike vs BA traffic, but quite the opposite! The city has bike lanes, and was a really nice relaxed way... More

Friends recommended Bike BA and we had a great tour with Anna. The bikes were well maintained we all had helmets and water, and Anna looked after the group well. The tour hit all the high spots with time to see each area and sample things like mate and parilla for lunch.

The all-day bike tour was one of my absolute favorite activities in Buenos Aires. It was, hands down, the best way to see the different touristy neighborhoods within the city. More than the convenience of a bicycle, however, was the history lesson that went along with it. Our tour guide Megan gave us just enough ancient history, combined with modern... More

Thank you for riding with us! Great advice to take our tour early on in the trip as it not only helps orient you to the city, but it also peaks interest of activities you may not have heard of or knew existed before. Come back again so you can try one of our other tours with your second tour... More

What a great way to see the core of Buenos Aires! You visit San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta, centro and Puerto Madero over 7 hours. Rodrigo was our guide (it was only two of us in the group) and did a great job - very knowledgeable and passionate with flawless english. The actual bike riding is moderate as there are... More

If you are adventurous, love street art, enjoy meeting new people and seeing unique sites in the company of great guides, this tour is for you! Their concierge service will recommend interesting things to do depending on your interests, too. Kaylee recommended a great neighborhood wine bar and some local jazz concerts I would have never found on my own.... More

My husband and I had only one day in BA on our way back from Antarctica, and I'm so glad that we chose to spend it with Biking Buenos Aires. We did the full day tour with Marcelo, who is very entertaining, guided us expertly through BA traffic, and most importantly, is a very well-educated historian. He could answer any... More

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
