My husband and I recently went to Buenos Aires for the first time together after he had lived there several years prior and his one request for our trip was to take a cooking class. We found Norma's and luckily she still had availability! We made empanadas and alfajores (upon special request!) and everything tasted amazing. She even gave us... More

We booked in a Mini-Chef class with Norma who organised a private time for my family (including two young children, 3 & 9) to attend. Norma is a lovely host who had the patience and enthusiasm to deal with the kids ensuring they were involved in the cooking (and with our blessing, kept in line!) Recipes and ingredients were nicely... More

This was a great class! Norma has a passion for cooking and shares that with the class. The empanadas and cookies are delicious!

My husband and I took a cooking class with Norma and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Norma is an outstanding instructor and she creates such a warm, hospitable atmosphere that we quickly bonded with our fellow students. Limiting her classes to small groups is particularly nice. Sharing the foods we had just prepared was a very special experience. We got... More

Condensed cooking class with Norma who makes sure everyone is following all the recipes :) She definitely knows a lot about Argentinian food and cooking techniques. We made Empanadas, Lenses stew and Alfajores (with Dulce de Leche). Very nice appartment with a view on the city ! We spent a very nice moment with all participants enjoying the meals with... More

This was such fun! Norma taught us how to make a delicious traditional lentil stew, wonderful empanadas, delicious dulce de lèche cookies (alfajores?) and then traditional Yerba matte drinks. She was great to work with- easily coordinated it all ahead of time via email. Great way to enjoy a different culture !

We went to Norma's cooking class today, two couples from the United States and found her to be completely charming, informative and an excellent chef. We learned to make a number of dishes and enjoyed eating all of them with new friends and our gracious host. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning some of Argentina's... More

What a fun cultural experience! I took this efficient educational cooking program from Norma in her lovely apartment today. I would definitely recommend making time for this while in Buenos Aires. Norma is a thoroughly educated and experienced teacher who limits her classes to 6 participants to ensure a personal experience. The ingredients and materials we needed to make three... More

We had a great time with Norma learning to cook some traditional Argentine dishes. She was extremely accommodating to our travel schedule, arranging a class for us on a special day. The class was well-organized, the food was delicious, and Norma was a warm and inviting host. My group of three had a blast, and we learned a lot about... More

We really enjoyed the cooking class Norma hosted, she was a really lovely host who taught us how to make empanadas (from scratch), Chipas and alfajores. It was a great way to spend a few hours and it was really fun to learn how to make some quintessential Argentinian food and then get to eat it too!

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
