Not tourist friendly! It used to be a really nice area but nowadays is a very unsafe neighborhood. The shopping is nice but nothing else. If you want to go to the Carlos Gardel alley, book a tourist guide or a tour. Don't go on...More

Expensive awful looking buildings mixed with very nice looking old houses. Tango breathes at every corner of this area at night, and visiting Gardel´s house was a pleasure :)

If you like Tango you must visit. Take a picture with Carlos Gardel (most famous Tango singer) You can also visit the Once Mall to buy something from Buenos Aires.

Even though there is a major shopping centre in the area, it's also full of squatters. Don't walk around here at night in particular!

The streets are littered and crowded with rather unpleasant looking people, there are no buildings of architectural value, with the exception of the Abasto Shopping Centre

You can only visit the Abasto Mall and Carlos Gardel St. ( only 1 block). in front of the mall. The place is not very safe as far as it remains with very all houses ( most of them we call conventillos ) where many...More
