Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For the good things read other reviews.
The TRUTH is that this shopping is surrounded with a slum so the entrance of the shopping is FULL of pickpocketers simulating at the door, quite visible actually.
DONT LET THE CAR far away (50 mts) from the entrance or you WILL get robbed.

The mall is on three levels and has a large Carrfeour supermarket on the ground floor.
The mall is mostly upmarket shops with some designer shops but less than at the Patio Bullrich mall in Retiro.
There are 180 stores on the upper two floors, 5 movie theatres and a food court on the top floor. Large car park.

A great mall, with all types of brands and stores. Great screens and a large uncovered area for kids to play just off Starbucks and McDonald's on the top floor.

I had a last day to use up some AR pesos, since they are reputed to only lose value with time if you keep them for the future, so I tried this reputed shopping center. The only store that looked attractive to me was one for some peasant style women's clothing, but nothing I could buy for my wife without her trying on. Most everything was very "fashionable" and with NY-Madison Ave prices.

What made the visit worthwhile at all for me was finding the excellent Vuelta Helado branch, where I made my only (and excellent) purchase.

Buenos Aires is not considered the most child friendly big city so if you have small kids then this is one place to keep in mind The food court is busy and opens to two outdoor spaces; a sunny dining patio and a jungle gym with swings etc. There is even a security attendant at the gate entrance.

The mall is three levels with a grocery store on the lower level. Very clean. Food court is on the third floor. There you will find a nice size arcade with games for all kids and adults.

After exploring the museum and lunch, we took a little side trip to Paseo Alcorta, an upscale mall around the corner. It is very expensive and sophisticated, but we really enjoyed strolling through and window shopping. I was surprised by the number of people -- many teens and fairly young adults, mostly women -- who were carrying bags of obviously newly bought things. We did not buy anything, but it was fun anyway!

Passed by this mall after finishing my tour of MALBA. It has a huge carrefour supermarket on the ground floor and many clothing stores and brand name boutiques. I was attracted to the large food court upstairs and in fact had my late lunch right there, a nice beef and vegetable set with rice for 186 pesos. It was not that busy when I visited probably because of the time of the day.

Recommend to be there early specially on weekends. Can get crowded but not as much as other shopping malls in town. Only con is the elevator. Small and slow, bad idea if you take a stroller and plan to move around
