Premium Tigre Delta and San Isidro Tour from Buenos Aires

93 reviews
Swap the busy streets of Buenos Aires for the waterways of the Tigre River Delta on a day trip that’s ideal for first-time visitors. You’ll see a more provincial side of the region as you explore the cobbled streets of San Isidro. Plus, you'll escape the crowds on land during a canal cruise on the delta.

I had a wonderful four weeks studying at Rayuela! This is an extremely immersive experience so leave your native language at the door. Jonathan, my teacher, was the best! He was very patient and used repetitive phrases so the words would actually sink in. He also not only loved to say things but write them down. Having the visual and auditory learning experience was critical. Lastly, it was a great mix of conversational Spanish combined with set lesson plans.

My friend and I wanted to improve our Spanish since we were travelling through Spanish-speaking Latin America for six months. As we both like Buenos Aires very much, it seemed like a great opportunity to stay in town for four weeks while joining a language class. After some research, we decided on Rayuela and I’m glad we did. The school, which is located in the San Telmo district, is relatively small so there is ample opportunity to adapt the classes to the needs of the students. Owner/teacher Alejandro and his team always made sure we were up to speed and happy with the lessons as well as the general set-up. The groups were put together based on a placement test we did ahead of time. We both had a few years of Spanish in school but with that being decades ago, we often felt at a loss before when we actually had to speak the language. At Rayuela, they provided us with a solid base of Spanish, both in terms of grammar and of vocabulary. For each grammar lesson, there were plenty of exercises to ensure we understood. Moreover, we had many opportunities to speak and, hence, to use the newly learned forms in conversation. The best thing for me was that at times, we left the course material behind to talk about current political events and the differences between our countries, which made what we learned even more relevant for everyday life. Our teacher Jonatan patiently took the time to answer any question and worked hard to get us all talking in Spanish. We both noticed a significant improvement in our Spanish abilities – and we had fun doing so. Don’t get me wrong, learning a language is hard work. But it’s just so worth it – vale la pena – when it pays off.

I stayed in Buenos Aires for six weeks while taking this class, and it helped me a lot with my Spanish. Not only did I enter into the class knowing nothing and come out knowing a lot, it helped me get into a higher level Spanish class in college. Highly individualized and well-paced, I’d recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I traveled through South America for two months. We wanted to improve our Spanish, and found the Instituto de Espanol Rayuela through an internet search. We were very happy with our experience. Our teacher Jonathan was excellent. Our class had a total of four students, and Jonathan was great about getting everyone involved . My wife and I were able to improve our Spanish reading, speaking and understanding significantly in a single week (for four hours per day). They are flexible in terms of how long you attend, and for how many hours per day you want to attend class. Alejandro, the director, was friendly and efficient in getting us registered and assigned to the proper class. They offered coffee, tea and water during our lessons. I highly recommend Instituto de Espanol Rayuela for those visiting Buenos Aires and interested in improving their Spanish.

We had a great time studying Spanish with Alejandro for 4 weeks. We learned a ton, and he kept things very entertaining. He is also a very fun and interesting person, with a great depth of knowledge. San Telmo is an interesting historic neighborhood with lots of good food, beautiful buildings, and things to do. In addition the class was a perfect way to make some friends which made the whole experience that much better. All in all I cannot recommend Rayuela highly enough, and would happily go back to study with Alejandro again.
