Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family did the Jewish tour and BA City tour with Salito and it was wonderful. It was so meaningful for us because of the fact that Salito shared his own family's experience as Jews growing up in Buenos Aires. So it was like getting a tour from your Uncle from Argentina. Salito was on-time, personable, knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommended.

We had one day to spend in Buenos Aires. From an overnight flight, through customs, and arrival at our hotel, we met Salito Gutt to embark on a seven hour tour. Sounds crazy, huh? We had a list of sites and areas we wished to visit. Through pouring rain and congested traffic, Salito was able to cover almost everything we had requested while entertaining and educating four very tired travelers. He made the seven hours fly by quickly and left us with a sense of the city and its neighborhoods, current life in Buenos Aires, lunch in a trendy cafe, and all of our many questions answered. He always had a funny story to keep us going. The only negative was that we didn’t have two days to spend with Salito!
Lots of guides are adequate, but Salito is exceptional. He provided us with a great experience we will never forget.

We spent one and one half days with Salito. First day covered a four hour Jewish tour and day two was a seven hour general tour of B.A. Salito is extremely knowledgeable, warm and engaging. Notwithstanding that the second day was rainy after a night of the worst storms B.A. had seen in decades that virtually shut down the City, Salito did a wonderful job of ensuring that we saw the the City’s important sites. A wonderful experience.

The worst storm we had that Saturday night was something I never saw before
The Sunday morning touring with you was a fear experience.
The city looked like it was bombed
The destruction in our trees and parks
Anyway I'm happy you enjoyed your day
Thanks

Spent two days with Salito Gutt. First day did a general Buenos Aires tour and second they did a dedicated Jewish Buenos Aires tour. Both days were outstanding. He was most personable, and made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Had an ability to explain things without giving too much detail that one got confused, butgave an incredible amount of information very well. Obviously knew the city very well and as well as his subject. It was it outstanding two days and I can only highly recommended.

A friend in the US who knows Jewish Argentina recommended Salito Gutt and I couldn't have had a better guide or a better day. I was fortunate to be able to book a private full day tour. At all the places we went to, everyone knew Salito and warmly greeted him, which extended to me, as well. Salito is a wealth of knowledge about both the history and the current lives of Jews in Buenos Aires and Argentina. I couldn't see how we could cover all that he put in the description, but we did them fully and more. Throughout the day, Salito gave me a full course on the history of Jews in Buenos Aires and thoroughly and clearly described everything we saw. Even at lunch in the food court of the Abasto Mall, I learned the full history of the mall (which has a Mezuzah at the entrance) and detailed description of the Kosher MacDonald's, as well as the Jews who frequent it. I felt like I got a full semester of fascinating Jewish Buenos Aires and can't recommend Salito highly enough.

We toured with Salito for half a day. He picked us up and showed us very interesting places and told his own stories about the ups and downs of Jewish life in Buenos Aires. The visit to AMIA and a Chabad-run synagogue gave us great insight into the community. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is curious about this community. He’s happy to answer any questions or customize the tour to accommodate any specific interests.

Following a tour of Patagonia, we had an extra day in Buenos Aires. Friends suggested a tour of Jewish Beunos Aires and recommended their guide, Salito Gutt.
Salito picked us up at our hotel and spent the the next 4 hours with us. He is warm and charming and has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the Jews in Argentina and Buenos Aires. He is a wonderful story teller mixing in both the history of the Jews in Argentina with his own personal history. You share in his pride of the temple in which he had his Bar Mitzvah and the temple to which he now belongs, as well as his angst at the memorials of the bombings of the Israeli Embassy and Jewish community. We toured Jewish neighborhoods as he explained past and current Jewish life in Buenos Aires. He was interested in our personal history and was able to answer all our questions. At the conclusion of the tour, he dropped us off to meet our friends. As a side note, I left my cell phone in his car when he dropped us off. No problem. He was back in minutes with my phone in hand. Would definitely recommend Jewish Tours Argentina and Salito Gutt.

The Jewish tour by Salito was fabulous.
We also had Salito pick us up at the airport. He was flexible with the timing even though our flight was 3 hours late.
Our baggage was delayed and Salito helped me navigate retrieving our luggage at 2 different airports! He stayed late into the night with me at EZE airport and arranged with the necessary people that I could get my luggage. He was amazing!

Salito gave us a wonderful, broadbased insight into the current Jewish community by visiting two synagogues, the Jewish Museum, a shopping district where the orthodox live and the Memorial to the terrorist bombing of the Jewish administrative offices.
His knowledge and perspectives were insightful and interesting - so glad we saw things that we had some knowledge of. It was a wonderful 4 hours. Thanks

My wife and I toured with Salito Gutt at the end of January. Our feedback mirrors the comments left by the last reviewer. We highly recommend him to anyone interested in a Jewish tour of Buenos Aires.
