The Rojo Tango show in the Faena Hotel was among the biggest highlights of our trip to Argentina. Not only was the location fantastic and decadent but it set the perfect atmosphere for what was one of the most sensual and brilliantly performed Tango's you could see. We highly recommend Rojo Tango as you will receive a show that is... More

I went, I was tired, I slept. The bits I did see were very formulaic and designed for tourists. My first experience of Argentinian Tango was in a bar in 1992 and it was exhilirating. This was more like a dumbed down version for the overseas tourist with big wallets by comparison. Recommend you stay local.

The night was absolutely perfect. The venue is small and intimate, looked simply stunning when we walked into the room and it set the tone for the whole evening. The food was very good and the wine was flowing all evening. The show far exceeded our expectations and was mesmerising to watch. We were told it was the best tango... More

The Quintet - piano, bass, violin, & two bandoneons - played for two hours. Splendid repertoire and execution. The dancers - to perfection, run exquisite choreographies, dressing according to the references of each composition. The place is beautiful, the service was kind and attentive. We were picked up 8:30 sharp and brought back. As my mother would say: It deserved... More

Very good experience! It was my first time at a tango show, and I really enjoyed it. The served wine and champagne for the public and the performers were perfect. The changes between the classic and modern tango and it was very nice! Here are some pictures

I visited Rojo Tango in 2013 and now i was suggested to see it again as the show changed. I used the same site to purchase my tickets and got 20% discount and great advise with the people at tangotix. They picked me up promptly at 8:30 from my hotel in Recoleta and was taken to the "cabaret" ahead of... More

You may find it hard to get a table, for good reason, for this experience is extraordinary. Argentina''s best tango dancers performing in a intimate venue while you dine on fine food and wines. You'll be swept up in the music and dancing in a totally-involving experience. A must-see in this city.

Do not go to the Rojo Tango! The worst kind of over promise-under deliver to the point of false advertising. Not a good seat in the house because of the odd room configuration and low to the ground stage and columns on the side. Performers nothing more than average. We are Tango lovers so have a wide base of comparisons.... More

The venue is classy, the setting and stage intimate, the music and dance excellent. The service was good but not outstanding. However, do the price of entry, the food selection/choice was only OK. Overall great show.....expected more from the catering.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
