Neighbourhood: Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located within Recoleta, near the cemetery and cultural centre, is this beautiful green space, that is lovely just to walk around, on weekends it comes alive with the open air market, with over 100 stalls.

This plaza is close to many other plazas & parks. There is a statue of Alvear who was the first mayor of Buenos Aires. It’s very close to the Recoleta Cemetery.

We spent about 1 hour walking by the about 100 vendor's booths looking at what they were selling. We were told that Sunday afternoon is when they are there. There are a few places selling food to eat. The walkway is shaded, so the hot sun was not an issue. Some vendors will accept credit cards. We used the "H" metro line to get close to the park. We saw signs for the "E" line in the area.
