The cathedral is nice and worth the visit. But the real treat is to climb up the tower stairs and enjoy a nice view. Try to go late in the afternoon so to glimpse at the sunset, a very nice setting indeed.

Unlike other cathedrals, where one enters and takes pictures, this one have a museum (the "cripta") and also an elevator (instead of stairs) that takes you to the top of one of the towers ("Jesus") and have a nice view of the city from the...More

The cathedral and its history is quite interesting, but don't pay the entrance fee to the museum or the elevator ride. The museum itself might be interesting, but for some reason they added exhibitions with modern art which kind of destroys the whole experience. As...More

Large and mighty from both inside and outside, it's a noble sight and one of the top things to see in La Plata. We drove there from the museum by taxi. Entrance is free.

La Plata's massive cathedral is an imposing sight, and we were lucky enough to see it on a beautiful, sunny spring day. Having a look inside is a good experience in itself, as you can really appreciate its dimensions. But the absolute highlight is the...More

It's a place that you can't miss here. The architecture is nice the tour inside is the best. You're going to learn a lot about the history and the view of the city in the top is amazing.
