Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came on a Wednesday to browse/shop after walking around the river area, but many of the kiosks here were closed. Some were open. But I think this is more of a weekend thing. Still, pretty nice area to walk around and shop for local crafts in Tigre.

This is really a large collection of small retail outlets next to the river, offering for sale a wide range of food, souvenirs and drinks and you should allow two hours to see it all. I found plenty to look at and but and my trip was rewarding

A nice relaxed atmosphere with lots of great craft shops. Lots of places to sit and eat or enjoy a coffee or fruit drink. Of course you can also buy fruit. Worth a visit.

They sell furniture and household items which some restaurants and ice cream stores around too. As a tourist I wasnt impressed. Would have liked to spend more time at the museum of art at Tigre instead.

The area gives you an opportunity to see some of the best handicrafts from the region. Originally an area where you can only buy fruits (where it’s name came from) it’s now an area with tons of stalls where you can buy authentic souvenirs from different regions in the country. It also has traditional restaurants as well as fast food areas. The prices are relatively cheaper than downtown Buenos Aires and a much better place to spend the day as you can also hop on ferries to take you on an adventure tour of the delta.

This place use to be a real fruit market, where producers from the Delta area would sell their fruit to local retailers. Over the years, it has turned into a open air shopping center. The main interest could be local craft sold in quaint stores located in this 6 acre area. Restaurants by the riverside are good for simple meals or drinks. On a sunny weekend, there can be a lot of people, but it is still nice.
Making it all the way to Tigre from downtown Buenos Aires is worth it if you have never been in the area and plan to do some sightseeing along the islands of the Delta. If you do so, save some time for the market. Going all the way from Buenos Aires to the Puerto de Frutos, if you do not have plenty of time available, may not be worth it.

My sister in law came to visit for a month so I decided that Tigre should be one of the place in Argentina for her to see. It's a very interesting little place with lots of water and docks. We took the boat cruise and it was pretty cool, they tell you about all the places along the river and it is even done in English. I would recommend the cruise, many cool things to see, especially the house in glass, which belonged to Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, father of Argentine education and the 7th president. There are craft stands and many fruit and vegetable stands. And for those of you that like to gamble, they even have a casino in Tigre, called the Trilenium, cool place with lots of restaurants inside. If you come here, plan for an all day thing, because there is much to see here. We were here in the summer and it was very hot and humid, so you might want to come in winter which runs from June to September. I highly recommend you put this on your list of things to see in Argentina.

I love Puerto de Frutos!!! It’s amazing... some much to see, so many different type of art, decor, plants and many more.
I love taking a Catamaran (big boat) around the Delta to see all the little canals and hidden house and boat stops with small beaches and a good bar!!!

There are lots of shops selling everything you can imagine. There are also several bars and restaurants. We were here on a weekend, but we're told it's not worth it during the week as many shops are closed. Whether you are looking for something in particular or just like looking at everything, this is worth a visit if you are in Tigre.

The former Port is now full of shops with everything you can imagine to furnish your home as well as fruit, clothing, food and plants. Fun to explore, there are some eateries and you can make an afternoon of it.
