Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was a little disappointed to see that there wasn't much. It would have been nice to have a guide, especially because the place is small and it is a little uncomfortable to stay reading everything. For those who do not have some notion of Che's life, it may not be very interesting. For us it was a very significant visit, but if you are not very fond of history and this one in particular, I don't think it would be unmissable.

I spent a wonderful 2 hours wandering the former casa home of Ernesto “Che” Guevara. It was awesome. I did this solo so no English translation available for me.
Having been in Cuba exactly 2 years previously this was great background knowledge. Cheers his museum is well presented and well maintained. It has a fantastic audiovisual room Howe all in Spanish. Still worth the time to view and you get a real sense from Che’s friends.
So much here, so worth the visit.

This small museum of Che Guevara's life, housed in his childhood home, was a very pleasant surprise. Through pictures, his letters and notes, and some of his belongings it provided a fascinating description of his evolution as a revolutionary. Past visitors have included Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez which speaks to Che's enduring impact.

My husband and I walked from the centre of town to this slightly out of the way casa in the blazing heat with our 9-month old daughter. We were happy to make this walk because we were really looking forward to visiting the adolescent home of Che Guevara and it was one of the reasons we chose to visit Alta Gracia from Cordoba.
When we entered the house to buy tickets, we were immediately asked where we were from - and mistaking this question for friendliness, promptly replied, "Canada". We were then informed that our tickets would cost 75 pesos. We were in disbelief and asked several times for clarification. 75 pesos?! Why? The staff did not have an answer for us and we told them that we would not be buying tickets. One woman told me that the ticket prices had just been changed by the municipality this month - the cost for Argentines had gone up to 15 pesos from 5 pesos - and that if we wanted to make a complaint that we could write a message in the book. So we did this and also revisited the tourist information booth at the clock tower to make an official complaint with the municipality.
We would have been happy to pay double the Argentine price but 5 times the price seemed to be completely off the international spectrum of reason. This is a small house with photographs inside, not Angkor Wat.

75 pesos for entry is a lot of money. The museum is ok, but its just a house with a few photos of che throughout his life bit takes about 30 to 60 minutes to see everything.
I don't know who owns the museum but it feels very ironic that a museum to someone who triumphed socialism and who fought against the worst aspects of capitalism should itself be an example of blatant capitalism.
Interesting museum but Definately felt ripped off at the US$20 entry fee.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area - learnt a lot about the life of Che, especially in respect of what his early years were like.

Having been to Cuba and seen endless museums about Che there, we found it very interesting to find out a lot more about his early years in Argentina. It was great to visit the actual home where he lived as a child, and there were some nice old photos. Alta Gracia is a nice town to walk around. It is an easy place to reach from Cordoba - just go to the minibus station and there are quite a few buses which go to Alta Gracia. There is also one bus company which goes from the main bus station. When you get to Alta Gracia, I'd suggest that you get off at the Estancia (look for the large pond and get off as soon as you see it) as the bus station is further out of town. You can look round the Estancia, have lunch and then head up to Che's house. To return you can get a bus on the street (tourist info will tell you where). You can get off the bus in several central locations in Cordoba - after that it goes to the main bus station before the minibus station.

The museum is nice and if you are planing to visit Alta Gracia it is a must see. If you dont have a car; take a Sarmiento Bus from the "Nueva Terminal", the leave every 10 minutes. From the terminal in Alta Gracia it is a 10 min walk to the museum and also walking distance to the Estancia Jesuitica - the second highlight in town.

I've visited this place 2 years ago and I was there on the last day before they changed the entrance fee! I only paid 5 pesos which was completely fine!! We struggled a little bit to get there because we had to walk from the station and there are no signs but we found our way thanks to people helping us. The visit was interesting and I learned a lot about el Che's life.
There is a nice small shop with a lot of different things about Che Guevara (I found a book about politics...).
I stayed there less than 1 hour but I was with a girl who was passionate about el Che and I waited for her 1 more hour so she could read every single information panel in the museum. She loved it and was deeply touched by the "energy" of the place. So, if you are a fan of el Comandante, of course this is a must do. And even if you are not you will definitely learn something and see a nice Argentinian village.
I just though it was a little bit "raw" for a museum/tourist attraction... but maybe it has changed since the day I went there (and that could be a reason for the higher fee).

I love the Che museum and have visited it many times over the years. In my opinion you have to understand something about Che the man and not only the Revolutionary to be able to enjoy this museum. It comes highly recommended. The only downside is that they have prices for foreigners and prices for Argentines. It is expensive.
