Make sure to stop in at the national park office, the sign is somewhat small along the roadside. For just $1 USD you can go on a nice, easy 1 hour hiking loop to spend a little time in the mountains on foot. I didn't get to do a real backpacking experience this time but I enjoyed this short walking... More

The natural beauty and majesty of the Andes rivals the Grand Canyon! The massive peaks and endless vistas make it worth the effort to travel here!

We hired a car for the day and drove from Mendoza to this national park. The drive took about 4 hours. We stopped off at different points along the way, including at a ski resort where we took a ski lift up to a higher point to get a view of the surrounding area. The hike to see Aconcagua is... More

We hired a private driver to make the trip from Lujan de Cuyo. It was a long day as you make stops along the way, but very worth it. When we left Lujan early morning it was very cloudy and a bit dark and I thought we were probably wasting our time and money; looked like it was going to... More

The highest point in the Western Hemisphere is worth a stop for the respectful point of view. Watch for the condors and rude German tourists who move into your pictures continually although you give them time to do their photos.

The way to this park is great. Lot's of thing to see and visit along the road. The tour ends at the park, where you can take a cablecar and walk around with views on the Aconcaqua. Take an organized tour.

My friends and I had a fantastic day exploring Parque Aconcagua. It is a bit of a ways from Mendoza (2 hours) but we rented a car and made some stops along the way to look at the beautiful scenery of the Andes. The hike to see the mountain was quick and easy, but snowy (in September), so wear hiking... More

If you come to Mendoza you absolutely must visit, it would a tragedy of a Shakespearean scale if you were to over look this! The drive up from the city itself is well worth the trip! The whole route is steeped in history. Amazing memories..

Paid a visit here while spending a few days in Mendoza, a trip by minibus into the high Andes where we took the opportunity to walk a couple of kilometres to a viewpoint from which we could see the whole south face of Aconcagua, the 10th highest mountain in the world. Very lucky to have fabulous weather, sunshine and clear... More

An amazing place to visit, with safety pins landscapes, and surrounded by all nature. Go in summer in case they want to climb the Aconcagua which is 6,962 m. Do not miss it.
