It’s a lovely winery. The dining room, where lunch is served, is beautifully decorated, with colorful chairs. We did our tasting outside, where a nice set of outdoor couches had been set-up for the group, with a beautifully set table for the tasting. The tasting was led by a staff member of the winery. He did a nice job explaining the story of the winery (which has Argentinian owners) and then walking us through a tasting of about 5 wines, starting with a Sauvignon Blanc (somewhat unusual for the region) and ending with signature Malbecs. He opened a couple of extra things based on the interests of the group. He also did a really nice job answering the group’s questions; he really knew the wines (e.g., French v. American oak, amount of time in barrel, etc.). In general, we enjoyed the wines; the Grand Reserve Malbec was particularly excellent. They offer a range of wines at very accessible price points. At the end of the tour, we walked to one of the buildings where the barrels are stored and stainless steel tanks are located. Always fun to see the process in action. A nice experience! Definitely worth doing a tasting here—Argentinian ownership (with family pride), good wines, and a nice atmosphere.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 November 2023
- Zach A1 contributionRelaxed, great wine, great peopleThis was one of the highlights of our time in Mendoza, partly because the wine was truly delicious, partly because the setting was so relaxed and beautiful, and partly because our guide Paula was just brilliant. So knowledgeable, but also very friendly and warm - she was a definite highlight. Can’t recommend this bodega enough, particularly over the stuffy, expensive bodegas that you’ll find in the area. I only wish we could have eaten here too!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 January 2024
- morgan_marshallWashington DC, District of Columbia48 contributionsIncredible wineWe spent the afternoon at La Azul and had such a wonderful time! We reserved the 3-course tasting menu and had an amazing meal paired with incredible wine. Each wine was better than the last and we got to pace our lunch slowly to enjoy each course. Our waiter, Mariano, was very kind and friendly. We couldn’t decide which two of the three appetizers to choose from so he arranged for us to have all three! In addition, it was wonderful to learn about the history of the winery from our tour guide. After lunch and the tour, we spent more time just enjoying the nice patio and continuing to sip wine. We left with four bottles to take home. I’m glad we dedicated a full afternoon here to take it all in. Special thanks also to our tour guide, Paula, and huge kudos to Flavia, the wine maker. These were some of the best wines I tasted in all of Uco Valley!Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 April 2024

We had a great lunch experience at this welcoming family-owned winery and restaurant. We sat outside which, despite the summer heat, allowed for great views and a relaxing atmosphere for our meal.
They offer a tasting menu with wine pairing and although I can't remember all of the dishes we had some that I can highlight are the jabali (wild boar) appetizer, the empanadas and the choripan. These were all delicious and were everything I needed to make me happy. Their bread was also delicious, salty and soft. Their wines were good, not the best we had in this region, but the good food, whole ambiance and cozy experience is really what you're here for.
After our meal we toured the cellar and got to taste one of their reds from the barrel.
This was definitely one of the better meals we had while in Mendoza. The service here was excellent and the entire meal cost us half of what we paid at another (overpriced, overrated) restaurant in the area.

We had lunch at the Lá Azul bodega on a Sunday in September. It was an experience we will remember for a long time.
Simply wonderful place.
Starting with the kindness and friendliness of everyone who works there. Joni attended to us, but we would like to thank the entire team.
The wines are great. We take several varieties and without any restrictions on the amount of consumption.
All dishes on the menu are very well made and extremely tasty. From starters to desserts.
During and after lunch we had the privilege of having the presence of saxophonist Emílio Spitz with his infectious songs….great repertoire.
In cash…. wow… what a view!!! Speechless. The location is in front of the mountains that are part of the Andes Mountains, in the Uco Valley. The mountains had a lot of snow and the sunny (but cold) day made the place more beautiful.
We had the privilege and pleasure of being welcomed by Ezequiel (owner of the Bodega). Fantastic person. He welcomed us as if we were long-time friends. Ezequiel showed us around the place and took us inside to see the bodegas and the production and storage locations for La Azul wines.
La Azul bodega is definitely a unique/wonderful/magical/etc place…
I hope they continue like this.
In short: Bodega La Azul is a must-see for anyone who wants to have an unforgettable experience in Mendoza.
Note: We went to other wineries (2 of them considered TOP10 in 2023 - in the world). Unfortunately, it was frustrating. High price, bad service, tasteless food and they even limited wine consumption.

BAD! If your goal is only to get drunk, this is the place for you, although it will probably be cheaper for you to buy a couple of Toro wines at the Chinese restaurant on the corner. The wine is poorly balanced, prioritizing mass production and practicality over quality, generating a very difficult wine to drink that would at most be used for cooking.
The place is sold as triple b (good, nice and cheap) but don't be fooled that there are very high quality proposals for very similar prices.
The food is ok, like a still life, nothing that I will remember.
The service wasn't there either, if you don't celebrate the dishes and praise the wines they won't serve you directly.
The visit was mediocre, short, poorly explained and culminated by the tasting of the winery's "premium" wine (undrinkable).
The final detail is that the coffee maker "broke" which curiously also prevented them from serving us tea.
More is not always better!

I heard great recommendations, so decided to go.
Honestly, it was the only bad wine we tried in Mendoza - most of the wines had a weird Cinnamon flavor, probably some problem with fermentation or aging.
It does not stop there:
(i) our reservation was at 2pm, they only sat us down at ~2:30pm
(ii) the food is ok - good main course, but starters without much creativity (choripan, pie and pastry)
(iii) the price for 5 steps was very close to that of VERY superior restaurants (e.g. Osadia de Crear at Suzana Balbo on the 3 steps menu)
(iv) yes, they leave the bottle of wine on the table. But I didn't want to drink until I dropped, but rather try other Bodega varieties. To my surprise, the waiter said he didn't have any and that he would try to get it, even though he had seen the same bottle on the next table.
In short, if you don't know anything about wine and want to drink until you drop, this is your place. Now, if you want to taste good wines and try good cuisine, DON'T GO to La Azul. It was a big disappointment.

The visit to the bodega was a pleasant surprise, it exceeded all my expectations! Starting with the impeccable service, making us feel at home. The empanadas, the incredible choripan, the meat, dessert!! Everything was wonderful and accompanied by very good wines. The bodega has an outdoor space that invites us to enjoy the live music, and enjoy it with everyone who is there. I highly recommend it and I intend to return!!

Beautiful place. Spectacular service. Delicious food and wines that exceed expectations. Harmonized lunch. 3 starters (soup, choripan and empanada), main course (pork 12 in the clay oven) and dessert. Worth every penny. The presence of the owner Ezequiel on site enhances every detail even more…

Wonderful winery!
The entire atmosphere makes the visit wonderful, we chose the 5-course menu and all the food was divine.
The service is wonderful, bald made the visit very relaxed.
The atmosphere is wonderful, there was a musician playing the saxophone and it went very well with the location.
The wines are very young, but very good.
Food and drinks are plentiful, bottles are left on the table and they are always replenished.
The winery is very small and visiting the wine production site itself is not that interesting.

Poorly placed, grille type route, is stuck to the route, so at the same time you see the mountains, you also see and hear the passing of cars. The food is half a hair and the wine is immovable. Designed for large groups of young people who want to get drunk, as there is free wine until 5pm. To go in pairs or in a mood of conversation, it is not the place. Zero glamour. And the very bad price/quality ratio for what they offer, 85,000 pesos a 5-step menu with wine.

Unmissable. Family winery. Precious place. Impeccable service. High-end wines. Everything you need for an excellent experience in Mendoza. It is worth it. The presence of the owner, Ezequiel, is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend
