Such a pity that Chile and Argentina are still stuck in the 1920's when it comes to their customs and immigration systems. Takes four people to do the job of one, guess it keeps the unemployment level low!!! Good news is the new border crossing...More

If you are not in a rush, this is the best way to admire the landscape in the middle of the Andes. Buses travel everyday from Chile to Argentina and there are cheap tickets (20.000 CL$). About the border.... it's another story. It is so...More

The journey from Chile to Mendoza is slow and for that reason, frustrating, but the stark landscape is really stunning and it's particularly striking during winter when the peaks of the surrounding mountains are crested in snow.
