It is the main gateway to Parque General San Martin, since it has other areas where you can also enter. They are iron gates, and in the highest part they have a condor.

Standing at the end of Av. Emilio Civit, these impressive wrought iron gates herald the entrance to the Parque San Martin and are well worth stopping to study for a good photo op.

Very large park with lake and many activities. Also take the bus tour from city central park - gives a better perspective of the city - figure 2+hrs.

It is a nice gate to the park which remains me a little bit to Palermo parks in Buenos Aires. If you are around worth to visit

This park is frequented by tourists and locals alike! It has a very large man-made lake, water sports, a soccer stadium, many meeting areas and vast amounts of green space. Walking/jogging appeared to be the sport of choice but pick up games of soccer, rugby,...More

But they are only gates. Not much more to say; vehicles and people enter the park through these gates, within walking distance of the central plaza of Mendoza.
