These are the most beautiful Falls in the world. I would suggest getting a private guide who knows the area and can explain how to go about seeing this large area. Be prepared for lots of walking and getting wet. A must do is getting to the falls by boat. You will get very wet!

Part 2. An early start, with a guide, is essential to make the most of this tour, and that was just what SIDNEI was. A Perfect guide, who picked us up at 0730, who offered whatever flexibility we wanted in addition to his insight into the park. Opting for the riverboat trip (dry boat) we weren't disappointed...and only a tad damp...there were only 4 of us in the boat, and we did everything but get soaked under the waterfalls! He constantly referred to photos re past experiences within the park. Sidnei also handled all the paperwork re the border crossing into Brazil. A full day for us and him..and all this on his wife's birthday, which he was off home to celebrate!!
Reviews and photos don't do the Falls justice...you need to visit this new natural Wonder of the World.

Do not miss these falls. There is plenty of walking involved, but it is a smooth service. I did not see anyone in a wheel chair, but I know parts of the boardwalk must be accessible for them. You can see lots of waterfalls - but the best views were always at the end of each boardwalk. Really breath taking!

The place offers breaktaking views of another parts of the falls and from a different angle. It is well worth checking out for yourself!

I have written separate reviews for the Garganta del Diablo and for the Brazilian side.
This is my review for the Argentinian side.
The Argentinian side comprises about eighty per cent of the waterfalls. The total span is about three miles.
The most powerful waterfall is Garganta del Diablo. You have to take a train to get to the entrance to the walkway and the waiting time for that train can be quite long.
As well, once you get to the walkway, it can be very crowded. Your best strategy for a day on the Argentinian side is to buy your admission ticket in advance, get to the park just before it opens and head straight for the Garganta del Diablo.
The walkway to the Garganta del Diablo has many interesting things to see along the way--jungle plants, birds, butterflies, fish in the water and lots of coatis.
When you have taken your selfies and had your fill of the Garganta del Diablo, head to the upper trail.
Hiking the upper trail will give you a great view of some of the falls up close.
There are monkeys in the trees, lizards and amazing birds along the way and, of course, more coatis. You will also see rainbows in the mist of the falls, if it is a sunny day.
Then, have lunch and hike the lower trail. The lower trail has lots of steps, but most of them are going down, so this is a good trail to do at the end of your day. The staircases and walkways are constructed of metal mesh, which can get very slippery when wet.
Make sure you are wearing sturdy shoes with good grip.
Also, be prepared for 35 degree C weather with almost 100 per cent humidity in the summer. Though tempted to wear very minimal clothing, do be aware that there are mosquitoes here carrying yellow fever and dengue, so it is extremely important to spray yourself with a good insect spray.
I bought bug shirts and pants but did not end up using them.
What I did use a lot of was Watkins deet lotion for exposed areas and the icardine pump spray for clothing, which I got at my local Toronto mountaineering store before I left.
I wore lightweight long hiking pants and a long sleeved shirt and I did not get bitten.
Other people in the group did.
The sun is very strong. Make sure you are also covered with sun lotion and that you are wearing sunglasses.
The sun lotion goes on first, the insect repellent goes on top.
The views of the falls, the wildlife and the foliage are magnificent.
The views from the Brazilian side (for which I have written a separate review under IGUAZU FALLS) will give you the complete panoramic view of the falls and is not to be missed.
But, I enjoyed the Argentinian side (because I am a hiker) better.

We went by ourselves with a travel agent, we arrived at main entrance and it was very easy to buy tickets and get into the park. People were very friendly, knowing their jobs, easy to identify them due to their clothes. All the way inside the parks we felt safety, walking over steel trails and giving whole information about the place in three languages: spanish, portuguese and english. If you want to enjoy the whole park I advice to reserve at least one full day from 9am to 6pm and be prepared for walking. From the main entrance to "Garganta del Diablo" fall you could take a train which save you 4km but after that you should walk another 3km to arrive at fantastic and incredible show which to see the strength of the nature. Regarding food you will find some fast food places and one big restaurant with offers free buffet, quality is middle but also the price is reasonable. Considering the weather in that area I advice to appoint your tour avoiding December, January and February because the heat and humidity are very uncomfortable

We spent one day visiting the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the falls. I am glad that a friend suggested this because while any of what you will see is breathtaking, you will get the best overall perspective by seeing it from both sides. We hired a guide who picked us up in our hotel in Argentina at 8AM and returned to our hotel at 6PM. We started on the Argentinian side, walking the trails. Later in the morning, we took the Jungle Safari and boat ride that takes you under one of the falls. (Yes, you get drenched) Later we continued by train to the Devil's Throat. That is definitely a highlight of the visit! Heading to the Brazilian side by car, is about a 45 minute drive (mainly immigration) and then the park is quicker to visit because there is less walking, Views are stunning and from a different angle than the Argentinian side. Many times you are facing them from below vs above.

Photos cannot do this justice. The views of the falls are magnificent. The only downside was the number of people. However we got there as the park opened and were able to get on the first train to avoid the crowds.

Incredible waterfalls, amazing views. Really amazing!
At night, just not much else to do though. Go only for 2 days. This is a must-do. Love it!

Please give yourself enough time to see this magnificent natural wonder. We had one day but really could have done with two. The Argentina side, which has the most amazing walks and where you get up close and personal with the 275 falls, the entrance fee changes regularly and is also determined by where you reside. We paid around AR$700,00 which doesn’t include a boat ride. To benefit from 50% off the second day, you need to validate your ticket at the box-offices at the end of your first-day visit. An ID card or passport is required at the ticket office for your purchase and they do take some credit cards. Be prepared for very large crowds. We would recommend arriving early and head towards Central Train Station to queue for a ticket with an allocated time on it to ride the little Jungle Train (this train ride is included in the price). Head straight to the Devil’s Throat Train Station to commence your first walk (Note: you will have to change trains at Cataratas Train Station and, from memory, you will need to get another ticket with a time on it to continue up the line). The train is chaotic as it’s so very crowded and not very well organised. Then do all the different trails as you head back to the main entrance. Take plenty of water, sunscreen and insect repellent plus a hat and excellent walking shoes. Allow a lot of time to do the multiple walks as it’s hot, humid and thirsty work walking the trails but so worth it! This is why we would recommend coming back for a second day. There are various food outlets with a small selection of food choices, cool drinks and ice creams. Again, huge crowds so consider taking your snacks with you. They also took credit cards. Watch out for the cheeky Coati’s as they love to steal food out of backpacks and even your hands.
