Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow. We made a lastt minute decision to see Iguazu Falls whilst in south America.
i have never seen anything like these falls. Absolutely beautiful. We went on a private tour with Mmc tours . We were there at opening 8 am.
Thank goodness as was a very hot day. We only had 1 day. But easily did the Argentine side in tge morning and the Brazil side in the afternoon
I highly recommend a private tour as you skip the lines. So no queing for anything
One of the best holiday memory.

I write this review as I await my flight out of IGU (Brazil airport ). We arrived Thursday into IGR and leave Saturday today Jan 11 out of IGU. Several days ago while reading Trip Advisor I came across the name of a driver Jose who had been highly recommended. I contacted Jose while in Buenos Aires in Tuesday via WhatsApp and set up a pick up at the airport . I cannot recommend Jose enough he picked us up took us to our hotel LoiSuites Wonderful left our bags took us to lunch to a Churrasqueria and then on to the Brazilian Side . Words cannot describe the Beauty and wonder. José breeze us thru the long line at the border he drives to the front with his special badge. He waited for us while we toured the Brazil Falls and then took us to our hotel . Friday morning he took us early to Argentina Falls get there early if you want to purchase tickets to the boats . Picked us up when we were finished took us to town for a late lunch at Aqua wondeful and then on to the three points to see Argentina Brazil and Paraguay from one spot back to our hotel and bright and early to airport Saturday Brazil side . José made this entire trip so effortless and smooth he is so knowledgeable. I cannot recommend him enough he is very reasonable and fair in his prices and his van is clean and new . His number is +54 9 376 436-7081 . I will deff be recommending him to anyone coming to this wonderful part of the world .

Visited both the Argentina and Brazil side of the falls. Words cannot describe the experience. Went to all the trails, devil’s throat, upper and lower trails. I think the lower trail is the best. Got soaking wet at Devil’s throat trail. Lots of people during our visit. Go to park early. Took the first train ride at 8:00am, less people. Will return to visit again.

We visited the falls from both sides of the Argentina and Brazil border, which I recommend. Most of the falls are on the Argentinian side but one gets a different perspective from the other side of the river. There are about 270 falls, some cascading, that cover about a mile. A must see. When First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt saw the falls she exclaimed “Poor Niagara Falls”.

The falls (Argentine side) are always an incredible sight, but the Devil's Throat walkways are still broken and closed. Be careful that in some travel agencies in Corrientes they do not warn you about this inconvenience and you get stuck. The Wanda Mines are something that can be visited but the Ruins of San Ignacio are not worth it. The Carmen hotel (3 stars) in Puerto Iguazú is passable with acceptable rooms, swimming pool, breakfast and half board, if you are not very demanding... The humid January heat in Iguazú is frankly unbearable. Crossing to Foz de Iguazú and going to a shopping center is worth it because you can buy something but, be careful, don't go with Argentine pesos because Brazilians use them in the bathroom... Bring dollars and exchange them for reals. Good tourist experience for everyone!!

My friend in Uruguay suggested I make Puerto Iguazu part of my visit to Argentina, so I flew up for ta three night stay from Buenos Aires. The sight of these falls is beyond impressive. The main problem is that it is too popular. Not that the crowds of people were objectionable folks, but my first day there I found it too crowded and it was HOT. No surprise there. The park is well equipped with many facilities to handle all the visitors.

We toured the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of the Iguazú falls. We went as family of four with 20 something children. Alejandro had an approach that allowed us to navigate around the crowds. He was very informative and provided great insights. He even taught us how to make mate. We highly recommend touring with Alejandro.

"Very good and cheap dinner" - that was the expectation. Complete lie! Start with transportation to get to Puerto Iguazu. We have the following options:
1. Rent a car in Foz: the traditional ones (Localiza, Movida, etc.) do not allow crossing the border. So, there are rental companies in the region that charge 2x to 3x more! They say it's because they include the green card and authorization - necessary to enter Argentina (Paraguay doesn't need it).
2. Tour operator van from Foz: R$600 (no joke, no... it's more expensive than the plane ticket!)
3. Local Uber drivers who only make the journey to customs (as Brazilian Uber is also banned in Argentina). Then you get out of the car and there is already a smart guy, I mean, an Argentine driver, to take you there.

It was this 3rd option that I made with my family, already finding it absurdly expensive at R$300 for a 10-minute journey.

Guys, we were going to Argentina, not North Korea....

Arriving in the land of Bife de Chorizo, our Argentine driver took us to La Rueda. It must have this name in honor of the Brazilians' "rueda" that they ruin with the charge! R$600 for a dinner for 4 people!

The food and ambience are nothing but reasonable.

Result: almost R$1,000 for a little Argentine dinner. Not to mention the complication of getting out of the car, going through immigration, getting into the Argentine car and all over again on the way back.

We went with Loumar Turismo, for us it was excellent due to customs migration,
It takes a while and they sort everything out! On the tour, we visited La aripuca, an indigenous village. The Landmark of the 3 borders and the fair and Puerto Iguazu. At the fair, Estela's store, you can buy 3 wines for 50.00. It was the best option for buying wine. The dulce de leche costs 25.00 and the box of alcamphor costs the same price. They accept reais and Guarani there, they don't accept dollars. A 1-liter beer costs 12.00.

The city is clean, safe, offers a good menu.
However, unfortunately, as anywhere, there is always someone to take advantage of, so be careful with the prices they charge, as they double the price when they realize that the person is not malicious.
They charge in reais and the change is in pesos. Exchange weights and order the menu by weight to avoid losses.
