Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

More than just a photo op, the purpose of this place is to help people rise out of poverty by teaching them a viable trade and to build their own houses from everyday materials (such as plastic bottles, milk cartons, wooden palettes, etc.) The man who runs this place, Alfedo, will personally greet you and tell you a little bit about his mission before turning over the rest of the tour to a guide, Alejandra. Both were very kind and knowledgeable. The cost of entrance is very cheap ($2500 Argentinian pesos, or less than $7 USD), so tips are encouraged. It's definitely one of those "off the beaten path" places, so you don't have to worry about tons of tourists. I went on a Saturday morning and was the only person there. Depending on how many photos you want to take and how much time you want to spend at the gift shop, I'd reserve about an hour or hour and a half for this activity. All this to stay, I highly recommend a visit.

Really fascinating and original place. Friendly owner explained everything in a very interesting way, efficiently using Google translate when our very poor Spanish was not good enough. Great place to visit on your way back from the falls to Puerto Iguazu.

We found it very interesting, specially my 6 year-old son. It is amazing what can be done with recycling products. Nonetheless, it is very short, and even though they charge you and entrance ticket, the guide asks for a tip at the end saying tha he´s a volunteer.

The people working here have some really innovative ideas and I would highly recommend checking it out! When we went the guided tour was only available in Spanish, but that should not put you off. We went on a tour despite hardly speaking any Spanish and we were surprised how much we understood. This was largely due to the effort of our guide speaking slowly and clearly and using gestures rather than words when needed. It is a very interesting place and you can buy some very original souvenirs!

Disappointing. Tiny little house in a residential area with plastic bottles in place for walls, floor, etc. You walk through in a group with someone explaining how the bottles were used. No English available, so we didn't understand what was being said. We also felt uncomfortable leaving the group to just walk through on our own. And this wasn't cheap (compared to other things to do in Puerto Iguazu).

Went to the house of Alfredo an his family. Amazing work! You will get a tour with one of the volunteers there. They explaining very well what they are doing and what kind of projects they are supporting. It is really inspiring what they are building with all this plastic bottles and how they help humans with it! At the end you can buy some things they have created. Please give a tip to the volunteers and if you want also a donation.
Definitely a MUST place to go and to support in Puerto Iguazú!

Great to visit and see what can be done with recycled plastic instead of throwing it out the window or in the river. Spent an hour there with detailed explanation and tour from the creators family. Many excellent ideas and creations to inspire all. They are also putting incredible effort and money into other local projects and donations are spent on building houses for the homeless.

Amazing experience to visit Iguazu Milliones and also much more to see in the local area. The Bottle house its worth it to visit with teen or kids. Eco friendly project with respect to the environment. My son was impressed with the tour and the details who receive from the tour guy.

Its worth it visit The Bottle House.

Interesting concept, the host was very welcoming and passionate about his work--helping the indigent build decent homes with recycled materials. Great tour!
