Slow morning, sun-baked, great way to cool off.

I enjoy the salt river during the week when I can hear the birds and enjoy my conversations with my friends. The weekends are more for a party crowd. Loud music, lots of... read more

If you want to enjoy mother Nature's beauty, see wild horse's, get a tan or maybe a sunburn if not prepared this is the place. Tie some coolers together with refreshments! But first rent some tubes and bus ride to the Salt River with your family or friends and enjoy a casual float trip down the river! Feel like Huck Finn... More

The secret to tubing is have 2 vehicles. Park on at the Salt River Tubing office parking lot. Take the 2nd vehicle on up the river to a starting place you would like (several along the river with parking lots)..Go early in the morning (6:00am),,the river is vacant so it's quiet & peaceful..you will see wildlife doing it this way..especially... Tubing down the Salt River is a must when visiting Arizona. You can rent the tubes and tie them together to go down the lazy river. Great time for adults and children as well. The sightseeing is Amazing!!! Surrounded by beautiful mountains the scenery is unforgettable.

I've been tubing the Salt most of my life. It is a regular activity when you grow up here. As I got older I was finding I don't enjoy it anymore. You get on a bus with your innertube to the top of the river. You hope you don't have a tube that has a hole in it. You bring... More

I enjoy the salt river during the week when I can hear the birds and enjoy my conversations with my friends. The weekends are more for a party crowd. Loud music, lots of drinking, not a family atmosphere. Even with tons of sunscreen, I still came back red. Keep that sunscreen handy and lots of water to drink. Bottom got... More

With the water temperatures in the high 80s or 90s this is a fun place to go tubing. The Salt River is very popular. Desert views are beautiful. It can be very popular. Do it with friends. Bring lots of water.

Absolutely loved tubing down the salt river! A nice way to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the wildlife. We saw a few different kinds of birds, some Blue Herons & Wild Horses! Just remember to bring lots of water to keep hydrated & SUNSCREEN!!!

My first time was pleasurable drifting down river seeing wild horses roam, hot sun, cold "can" of beer, but second time only one exit for shuttle was open & it was opposite side of the river. There is a quick response time with no warning;unfortunately, I was caught in riptide and almost drowned. The worst of it nobody on shore... More

This a great summer activity in the Mesa Az area. Been going for years. One thing I will say is that you might want to leave the kids because there are a lot of people drinking and partying. But still great fun!
