Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful lake, together with the Ruca Malen river, provide a fantastic landscape, there are beautiful little beaches and in some areas swimming pools. Water not so cold. Good camping that allows you to spend the day and pay only if you use bathrooms or stoves.

Lago Espejo Chico is (as the name suggests) a small lake. The sandy beach is not very big but usually there are not too many people there. It is possible to buy a day pass at the camping and do an asado for lunch. If not the car can be left in the car park and you can pass the gate walking.
If you have a kayak the trip to the other side of the lake is essential. If the water level is normal you can continue up the river to enter an absolutely magical place.
There is also a hike to the coast of espejo Grande, but it is overgrown and has to be cleared (2018). Another lovely hike to do in the area is Cerro la Mona.
The access road to the lake is rough so drive carefully. Only do this excursion if it is sunny and warm, otherwise you might be disappointed.

Beautiful, calm lake with a gorgeous sandy beach for summer visitors, even if the water is cold it is definitely worth swimming briskly in its waters; the feeling afterwards is really invigorating.

One drives down a very dirty road- full of crevaces- GET A JEEP or go slow in your rental. Wild ride- hiking is amazing- 8 hours to the top of the hill and back- one checks in at the guards house and registers- The lake is phenomenal this time of the year- You can see your feet!!
A must see- Off the beaten track- Restaurant at the end of the road- great find!

beautiful, but quite normal. After I saw the lakes on the Carretera Austral, everything became boring. The Espejo Grande is more beautiful and so is the lake in the Arraynes forest.

Digamos que el camino no esta en buen estado pero creo que para un auto no habria problema. Una opcion seria bajar unos metros caminando para verificar. Buscando en google aparece un numero de telefono para llamar en la pagina solo campings
