Hello, I'm just about to leave Bariloche after living here for a year. I've taken Spanish lessons with BSL and it has been wonderful for me. Can't believe how much I've learned, and the experience was fun. I've been taught by Adriana, Be, and sometimes Vanina. My two kids (6 and 9) also took lessons, and were taught by Cami. All were excellent, skilled teachers. I recommend BSL to anyone.

Last week I climbed mountains . . . FOR CLASS.
Improving my Spanish is a main goal of my trip to Bariloche, and I was lucky to find “Active Spanish” through the language school BSL—where I had the mountains of Patagonia for a classroom!
Thanks to the timezone difference, I could wake up early in the morning to take on altitudes that in equal parts had me begging for breaks and wow-ing at the wonder of the views where my sore legs brought me. All before I would have started my typical work day on Central Standard Time!
I really clicked with my true gem of a teacher, Ani. As an "advanced intermediate" level, it felt good to be able to have conversations while being gently corrected, and practice my subjunctive with fun "if you were a tree, what type would you be?" sort of questions. Gratitude doesn’t begin to cover it.

My wife and I did the school and homestay in January 2014. Excellent instruction and very friendly, helpful staff. Easy to do school in morning with time for mountaun hikes in afternoon. Also great homestay. Great way to improve your Spanish in an excellent mountain environment.

In January 2012 I took a week of private lessons with BSL. They were absolutely fantastic! Adriana, who was my teacher for the week, went to school to teach spanish and it really shows in her methods and understanding of the student´s mind. She speaks slow enough for you to understand, and if you don´t understand she is patient and able to speak great english to explain the lessons in a way that you can understand. Each day ended when the lesson was over, even if that meant that she had to stay a few minutes later to ensure I understood the lesson in total. They provided appropriate homework to reinforce lessons, and, more importantly, designed the lessons in a personal way.
I studied a few years of spanish about 8 years before. The first day I arrived to class I was struggling speaking spanish with just about everyone. At the end of the week I am able to comprehend what people are telling me and speak back in an effective way.
BSL exceeded my expectations in such an huge way and is at a very reasonable price, competative with other lessons in the city I looked at. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience learning Spanish at Bariloche Spanish Lessons. Adriana is amazing, and the whole team is caring and excellent at teaching Spanish. Our entire time at BSL, we were treated like family. Everyone went above and beyond not only to make sure we had great Spanish lessons, but also to make sure our stay in Bariloche was positive. I also had my children, ages 11, 9, and 6 in Spanish lessons at BSL. The school went above and beyond to teach our children. They worked so hard to make sure they had a fun learning environment, that focused on learning, but made the children enjoy attending the lessons. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing school!

I was short on time and needed a few quick private lessons to help me with the rest of my travels. Adriana was a great teacher! She is very attentive to your needs and incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend Bariloche Spanish Lessons.

Adriana was an exceptional teacher and friend. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her school to anyone in Bariloche. She not only taught, but helped set up experiences and excursions.
She really made the experience delightful.

I found the school to be welcoming and intimate; the instructors to be diligent and knowledgeable; and the course work to be academically rigorous and challenging.

My friend and I took a week and a half of private lessons at BSL and were very satisfied. The lessons themselves were extremely valuable (I'd never done private lessons before), even though I came in with a very advanced level of Spanish. But equally if not more worthwhile were the homestays with local families that the school provided for us and the opportunity to volunteer with a summer youth program. After thinking about it for months upon returning home, I decided to continue my private lessons remotely via Skype with the same teacher--now I practice Spanish every week thanks to BSL!

I attended a 2-weeks-spanishcourse at the School in March 2014. I got the impression that the school is small, very flexible and has a welcoming familiar atmosphere.
My teacher was highly motivated and made me work hard. But class was also entertaining and diversified and individual wishes were integrated without problems.
The school also organized several very interesting afternoon activities (like a visit of a museum, a tango class, and the circuito chico in Bariloche). Furthermore my teacher was always very helpful with hints about things to do in the area.
All in all I was very contend with my language course and would definitely recommend it as a good place to learn Spanish.
