We arrived quite late in the season but it worth it! Cerro catedral has a magnificent view to a both Nahuel Huapi and Gutierrez lakes. AMAZING. The snow wasn't very good anymore but it gave us the feeling of how's to ski in the area. 85% of the lifts were closed already but still we had fun. The ski center... More

Highly recommend this trek if you like to do som hiking while viewing the lakes, the valley and the mountain ranges. Sky blue day for this one. You take two lifts from the base up about 2/3 way up. First lift is the gondola and then the traditional ski lift chairs. From there, you can venture off onto a few... More

Watch out for Mountain Store - the guys rented me a badly maintained Santa Cruz Heckler for 700 pesos 3 hours - rip off. Half way thru my ride, simply changing gears the rear derailleur caught in the spokes & ripped off. Absolute mission & 1 hour wait to get very expensive taxi to return to base - my ride... More

Cerro Catedral is a great place to ski. Lots of lift accessible back country skiing. Lifts tickets are affordable. I love the area

We came up in the gondola & chair lifts as part of a day tour. The views from the upper station are spectacular. We watched condors flying quite close to us at the top - another unexpected treat. The more formal part of the restaurant was closed, but our hearty meal of vegetable soup, bread & coffee in the lower... More

Beautiful! If you just go up on the gondola you're in for a beautiful sight. If you hike to the top of the mountain, you have an amazing 360 view. We all had a great time, even the 5 year old. Put on sunscreen, even if it is cold! You can keep hiking from here to the Refugio Frei which... More

Even with the iffy weather due to climate change, we still had a great time at the cerro catedral. Loads of lifts and runs to take, we will be back if we're ever able.

We didnt plan to go up the ski lift in the summer, we had planned a walk but eventually decided to go up the lift. It was pricy at $355 per person ($20 bucks) but was totally worth it as the views were incredible. You get a panaromic view of Bariloche and you get in within 25 minutes. We also... More

We went to Cerro Catedral today, bus ride from central bus station was 35 mins (bus number 55), the route was beautiful, full of yellow flowers blossoming, apart from that, nothing really special when we reached there as all the shops were closed (not sure about it's summer time nor it's public holiday today...) The cable car + ski lift... More

While visiting Bariloche for my honeymoon in August 2016, I took a ski lesson in English with Franco. I am a beginner skier with no athletic background, so I was very nervous about skiing. Franco was an excellent instructor and his English was impeccable. He was very patient as I learned all the basics. After my lesson, I was confident... More
