The biggest Glacier of South America is something unique. We approached the Upsala Glacier by boat. We took many pictures of the different sides of the Glacier. The beauty of the nature was breathtaking. This excursion was the highlight of my trip to Patagonia.

It is is very interesting and fascinating trip to do. The glacier is impressive and the guides on the boat really know their subject. So all in all a pleasant and educational trip.

We did a full-day tour. Boat for about 2 hours to the Upsala Glacier, past icebergs. Incredible sight. The boast then took us to Estancia Cristina and a 4-wheel drive through the National Park to view the glacier from above. A great walk over rocks that had been shaped by previous glacial action. Back to the Esantcia for a good... More

The height of this Glacier is incredible, and it is possible to get very close to it on a boat trip.

Its better to go to Perito Moreno. Its enough. The Upsala is similar but you don't see it very good because you cant get close to it. So there is not sense in going there.

Not as impressive as the Spegazzini glacier and the Perito Moreno Glacier but still impressive. Visited by the Solo Patagonia 5 hour express cruise which was very good.

See the icebergs floating around if you take the catamaran. Combine this with a trip to P. Moreno and your day is complete. The same park pass will get you to both places.

We visited Estancia Cristina to savior their five hour trek - and absolutely loved it. We are all experienced, fit trekkers/hikers. We viewed the Upsala Glaciar during to boat ride up Lago Argentina and to Estancia Cristina and again during the first 30-45 min of the trek on their property. There are few opportunities to view Upsala Glaciar up-close. We... More

Went by 4x4 and a short trek braving God's Broom (the wind that can have gusts matching hurricane like speeds) to reach the most amazing natural viewing platform. Glacier is named after the Uppsala University in Sweden that sponsored the first glaciological studies in the area.
