Expensive for foreigners, but, for me, it’s totally worth the cost. The views are breathtaking and the available excursions (which I believe you must be a part of to enter the park, although I could be wrong) are incredible.

My brother and I did the Big Ice Expedition tour and it was nothing less than spectacular. It is a full day but totally worth it especially the glass of whiskey with the ice cube from the glacier. Julio was our guide and he was...More

Wow, wow, wow - just wow! We took a bus tour to the part (standard) and had a boat tour on the lake. It's so awesome, just visually stunning. Stay awhile and if you're lucky, you might see (and hear) ice breaking off.

Yes it’s expensive and out of the way but it’s worth all the time and money. Boat trip to see glacier up close was memorable. The park with all walkways were well maintained. Must do.

We visited the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares in February. We enjoyed the view of the glacier from the various view points. We found this way of viewing the glacier better than from board the boat. We found that our appreciation of the Moreno Glacier was...More

Hi, I am planning to go to El Calafate for three days. Morning 9am of 7th July I'll be reaching there and shall return on 9th July evening 6pm. I have ceratin queries:- 1. What are the excurssions I must go for? 2. What the excurssions are called in terms of Tourism companies? 3. I just drafted to visit Boat ride and national park on first day (What is the name of this excursion, I dont know. Please help.). On second day, planning to trek for Fitz Roy. On third day, Perito Moreno and walking on the glacier. Is thi sfeasible? 4. Do I need any special shoes for Fitz Roy trekking? If yes, then how to manage for only one day trek? I mean , is it possible to rent? 5. Is it ok, to take any packages from the travel agencies or just use public transport? 6. What are the names of all the excurssions, I have listed for three days? 7. Approx, how much shall be the expenditure for the all three days? As, I am travelling with my one friend an dour hotel and flight tickets are booked, is the renting of the car good option? Will it be cheap? Please guide.
