Great therapy!, Hot natural water from the volcano containing a variety of chemicals, considered "a cure for all ailments" from ancient times. Three pools with different water temperatures, the hottest one in the lower floor, be careful, it could burn you if you have sensitive skin. Cold natural water from the cascade available. Find relaxing jumping from one to the... More

If you go to Banos , go to the Hot springs is really nice, after you do outdoor adventures is recommended a natural therapy at this place. Try to go early morning is very clean, don´t go on weekends is too many people. Reccommended!

These thermal springs are ideal if you happen to be tired of traveling and walking. They are very relaxing and natural. One tip: make sure you get there early at around 6AM or very late at around 6PM. Don't go in between, it gets very crowded.

Disappointed There were only two pools open with an over load of bodies. Showers were cold. Buy your shower caps around the corner for 75 cents

These were the only thermal baths I went to in Banos, so I can't rank them relative to the others (although I've heard these are the most picturesque). There was a hot bath, a VERY hot bath, and a bunch of cold pools. The water is soothing and at night (when I went), there is pretty lighting. Other than that,... More

Another of my vacations this years was in February an I went direct the mountains because I like the weather an I went with my girlfriend to the pools of Baños , the hot springs. Baños is located in the province of Tungurahua – Ambato, strategically in the center of Ecuador , between the Andes and the Ecuadorian Amazon, you... More

These baths are maybe 5min walk from the centre of Baños, and its completely safe to walk. It's 3 dollars in (6-9pm; cheaper in the day (2USD)) and when i first got there i wasn't all that taken by it. It's tired looking and was most likely set up in the early 90s and shows it's age. Get past the... More

While the beauty of the waterfall has not changed, the surroundings are in desperate need of a face lift. There are some mineral water springs on the site too. Many locals come to drink the water and take it home by the gallon, which can be filled right by the source. The water in the catch basin to the right... More
