Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

he first site has a beautiful garden and a walking path as well as Omega
Paid entry and parking. The swing gives you an experience of being over the city and it is spread out at your feet
But if you want the real deal and you are a lover of attractions and a bit of adrenaline, a short distance away is the big swing. Pay only if you do the attraction

We hired a taxi for two hours and visited the Tree House and the Rescue Center on the way back. A buck per person gets you thrilling views of the mountains, free swings over the edge, and a modest zip line. I did the easy swing because I did not like how the guy was spinning the people on the swing. Is it tacky? I did not think so - definitely worth a buck!

The best mirador set up we saw, and we drove up and down the hills both sides of the valley . From the car parks by the side of the road, guys rush out flagging to get you into theirs, you can't see anything of the site which is 50 metres uphill on a path on the opposite site of the road. Parking $1, entrance a ridiculously low $1.
Inside you have lovely planted gardens, a nice cafe, at least three sets of swings for photos, a mini zipline to use, several towers to climb and the usual seats, this time with hummingbirds, Banos sign etc.
But the best part is its location. This is set at a high point. Views in all directions. Tungurahua volcano rising snow capped behind us, Chimborazo, another volcano, nearly 50km away in another, and lots of local tree covered mountains. Absolutely stunning.

From Banos, you can hike up, take a taxi or take a bus. The hike is steep and around 800 meters vertically from Banos. The bus only goes three times a day but only costs a dollar. There is a $2.00 entrance fee to Casa del Arbol. The views are spectacular. There are four swings, a short, double zipline and some gardens. There is also a quiosk to buy drinks and a little food. One of the swings has an employee who will push you higher and twist you for an additional thrill. The treehouse is two stories to give you an even higher view of the spectacular valley.

If there’s one thing Ecuador is known for, it’s their swings with amazing views! It’s difficult to go when it’s not busy with tourists (I lucked out) because it’s usually foggy in the morning, especially during the rainy season. There’s a cafe where you can get snacks and beer. There’s 3 swings in total, a Banos sign to take pictures, some wild cows, and a small zip line. $1 gets you admission to this wonderful place! No need to book a tour here. Just take a taxi or bus for less than $10. Definitely worth the views. There’s also a volcano to view if the skies allow!
Enjoy 😄

Definitely touristy, but felt it was well worth the effort to come here. The swings were a lot of fun but what blew me away were the views from the top. It was stunning to see the rain clouds rolling through the valley below with the sunset on the horizon. Quite magical.
I think every person's experience can vary, and I can see how this place can be a let down, especially depending on the day. Nevertheless, I had a great time and managed to get some awesome photos!

We came early in the morning before leaving Banos, however the landmark was locked even though according to the working hours it should have been open.. We desperately waited 1 more hour lurking around the gates but nobody showed up. Sadly the public bus goes there only a couple times per day and you may feel very lonely there early morning.

Basically, it is a treehouse very high in a mountain. The view is great and they also have four swings (with lovely views and not too scary), a few very instagrammable places. All of this is contemplated on the entrance fee which is not too high so that is very good. The place is also filled with flowers and if you go on a clear day, its even more beautiful.

Must see, even if you don't care about posting it on instagram. The swings are fun, the views are amazing. We went twice since the weather varies so much. Saw the volcano peek out one day! I recommend taking a taxi - it's about $2 for the ride, and $1 entry. Don't take a bus tour -- they overcharge and there's really no need for any guidance.

Bus from the center to casa de arbol is a dollar and taxi 10 dollars. Entrance to casa de arbol is 2 dollars. Visit is worth it, mostly for the views. The swings themselves are nothing amazing and advertisings make it sound like you're going over some cliff - you're not. Worth going as the scenery is amazing and the ride up is through a very winding steep road so not for those who get motion sickness easily. You can do a 3-4 hour hike up with the trailhead starting close to the cemetery, but the trail starts off very steep and is very narrow so my partner didn't feel comfortable doing it thus I can't say how much of the trail looks like besides the first 5 minutes of it.

Is there an age restriction for children for the swing?
Written 9 July 2023
I don't think so. While there were a couple of staff around, mostly gardening, there was no specific supervision at the swing. It seemed each individual was responsible for their own safety.
