Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I guess you need to be there during the wet season when the water flow is better. I went in July, and it was barely a waterfall; and the water didn’t look swim-worthy. I gave it 2/5 instead of 1/5 just because it’s free, so you don’t feel like you’ve been ripped off.

These falls are only a short walk from where you park the vehicles. The area around the falls is lush with greenery and tropical plants. the falls can be accessed for swimming and the water is cool and refreshing.

After doing the coastal walk, it was time to freshen up. What better way than to come here for a cool dip. Water quality is excellent and the place is so quiet and tranquil.
A must visit.

We stopped by this waterfall on our way to the trench. A 5-7 minute walk from the car park to the top of the falls. Relatively large fall from a small height. Ok for a quick visit. We didn't see any place to swim unlike some of the other reviews.

Lovely little walk down to what we heard were beautiful cascade falls. Unfortunately they weren’t that spectacular or clean. Lots of mozzies so if you do decide to take a wander remember your insect repellent. The water was very dirty, not very welcoming to swim in... so we didn’t. The bathrooms were ok for an emergency stop, but I decided against using them. This waterfall is free so if your driving past it is worth a look, but I wouldn’t go out of my way again... on a gorgeous day and if the water was running clear it maybe a very different waterfall.

This was a lot better than I thought it would be. Kids (and adults) enjoyed jumping into the higher waterfall pool and the lower one. Nice and refreshing. Clean and tidy grounds.

This waterfall is on the Island Cross Road and is a hidden gem - one of those places the locals know about.

We were three families with children from 6 to 19 and every single child loved it. For the youngest, they could quite easily swim in the main 'pool' and for the rest of them, they could jump off various parts of the waterfall into the really deep part of the pool. What is it about kids and jumping off things into water? This really ticked the boxes.

A huge added plus was that the water was beautiful and clean - the fresh water was beautiful to swim in. It was a wonderful way to swim for a couple of hours.

It costs nothing to go to these falls. While very small, they are very charming and provide a beautiful swimming hole. We were there at about 9:30am and had the place to ourselves for about an hour, which made it so very special. Worth a visit for sure!

Worth a stop and possible to swim if you like. It's well signed on the Island Road. The access road is a bit bumpy, but short and not too bad. The walk from the car park is not far: about five minutes. There are limited facilities and was no fee on the Sunday we visited. It is not quite as well maintained as some other fresh water swimming sites but nothing that should keep you away. There is lots of water to enjoy in May. The water can be dirty if there have been heavy rains.

When you go to Samoa make sure you go here!!! Exquisite freshwater swimming hole under a water fall! Short not to arduous walk from the car park. Suggest you wear reef shoes, making it easier to get in/out of pool. Take food and spend a few hours, wash away the cares of the world!!
Excellent garden toilets!
