Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't be discouraged by the road that leads to the waterfall. It usually is a bumpy road before you get to anything or anywhere beautiful so hang in there! Well this was my 2017 experience anyway so I don't know if they've improved the roads or any infrastructure there. It was really quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves!

Beautiful Waterfall!
There are a few steps down to the Waterfall and swimming area so would be difficult for older people and/or less mobile people. When you get down the stairs it's fairly uneven and difficult to walk however well worth it.
Pack your mozzie repellent as they were huge and hungry 🤣

Sauniatu is located 7-8kms inland from Saoluafata and if you are planning to go, maybe make sure you have a spare tyre because the drive is probably the most bumpy I've ever driven on but once you reach the falls it'll all be worth it. The grounds are kept very clean and there was no cover charge when we went (rare for Samoan attractions). Water was lovely and cool and we enjoyed our swim. Def recommend these falls n you next trip to Samoa

A genuinely stunning waterfall and swimming hole with crystal clear water and fantastic views to the surrounding mountains.

Access is via approximately 7km of extremely rough road, which would be almost impossible without at least an SUV.

Once there, however, access to the falls is very easy and attracts no entry fee.

Visitors should note the land is owned by the Mormon Church, and therefore conservative attire is expected between the car park and the waterfall.

A genuine hidden gem of Samoa.

Not many people seem to know about these falls. There is a 7km drive inland to get there, the road is rough and the drive slow. It's worth it! Beautiful deep swimming hole, and I was the only one there! The falls are located on grounds owned by the Mormon church (I believe) so there are rules to follow when entering grounds (wear a t shirt, no smoking, alcohol etc).

Such an amazing waterfall . It's on land owned by the Mormon church . So you have to be dressed modestly when passing through the Mormon grounds . Best part about this attraction is that it's totally free . Heaps of stairs to go down but the water is nice & refreshing once you get in there .

Impossible to find. Google Maps provides a wrong way, and even the locals I spoke with didn’t know about these waterfalls. Unless you go with someone who actually knows how to get there, don’t bother.

Great waterfall. Beautiful surroundings Expect a lot of potholes and a slow drive for the last 5km. Definitely worth the drive. Bring a picnic. Unsure if there are any bathrooms? Be aware There's a lot of stairs going down to swimming area. It says its free on Samoa.travel website, however our 2nd time there the guard tried to get a 10 tala donation. Which I would be happy to pay if they had a sign up and a receipt book.

This waterfall is off the beaten track. It's a 7km drive off the main road and the drive in is rough. Lots of potholes and bump but it is worth the drive. There is a beautiful swimming hole at the base of the falls. The water is cool and refreshing and if you swim up to the falls, that water is warm! Entry is free so make the effort to see this spot. Maybe make sure you have a spare tire just in case.
