The Apia markets are amazing with so many stall holders showing their local crafts and hand printed fabrics, lava lava, shirts etc making a colourful array throughout the venue. What makes the market is the beautiful people. So happy and smiling and polite. They don't harass the customers but are happy to show their various wares. Wary of our luggage... More

These types of market can often be torture as people try to thrust their wares at you - not this market! Almost without exception the stall holders were more than happy to let you browse freely. The usual local handicrafts and clothes etc. We didn't buy anything but were advised that everything was fixed price, but did not test this... More

The fish market is great. Barter with the locals for fresh fish. There is an ice vendor so you can get it home fresh too. We had ours cooked for us at our accommodation. The hot food section is also good. Cheap fish and chips and other local foods. I don't understand the thinking of the stall holders in the... More

Lots of stalls all selling the same thing but worth a visit to get some bargain souvenirs. For me, not enough diversity in what you could buy. But friendly people and not hassled at all by sellers. Over all worth a visit

It was great seeing the markets. It was burnt down but it's up and running again. The prices of things are cheap. You get a lot of little kids coming up to you selling things and If you say no they give you a sad face and still hang around until you buy from them so if this happens just... More

A nice colourful place to visit to buy souvenirs. Prices are pretty standard throughout the market. For me, it lacked the hussle and bustle of a great market but was certainly nice to stroll through. Stall holders did not hassle you.

great place to buy souvenirs, fabric and trinkets to take home as a memory of your trip. Prices are good and do not change much even when the cruise ship comes in
