This is our favorite place to come and admire the plants and walk around. There are so many beautiful plants and trails. It is a great place for a cloudy day or in the winter time. I highly recommend it.

We arrived an hour before closing time and felt a little rushed. Ideally we would have stayed 90 - 120 minutes. The gardens were beautiful and I'm glad we visited although I do think the admission price was too steep.

We visited the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix in late fall and it was full of life! We enjoyed strolling through the variety of landscapes offered. I was struck by two very tall and slender cactus which I referenced for a painting later.

It will be hot. The temp will break 100d F before 0900. Go early in the morning, be there when it opens (0700). Take plenty of water and sunscreen. Water is available at the garden. I would not suggest going in the evening... More
