I loved the Phoenix Zoo! We even happened upon a Tour and got to listen to the very interesting information regarding the Zoo's Elephants, who are all Rescues! Unfortunately, some of the exhibits were closed because they were building new ones. Or, in the case of the Rhino, it had just died.

We visited the 25th anniversary of Zoo Lights with my wife's mother and aunt. Wheel chairs were available. The light shows were wonderful and the weather was perfect.

First-time visit to the Phoenix Zoo....why'd we wait so long?! :) Visited mid-day on a Friday and parking was free & plentiful. The zoo has the absolute best-looking carousel with endangered animals. The center of the zoo is a giant lake where there are islands (animal habitats)....it was really an awesome feature....much nicer to see the animals not in cages.... More

Nice zoo where none of the animals are in small cages, but some settings like the Lynx are on the small side. Have some areas with double doors to go in and see them close-up - like birds, monkeys etc. Only disappointment was that Zebras were gone while new place being built, and Rhino died in Nov 2016.

We had such a wonderful day visiting the Phoenix Zoo. With the weather being in the 40s/50s, the animals were out and about for our viewing pleasure. The grounds and exhibits are very well kept. Plenty of exhibits to keep us all interested. They even had life sized animal Lego exhibits that were done so beautifully as well as the... More

Zoo during the day is a great place too....but each year - Phoenix Zoo has Zoolights (5-10pm). There are very few animals to see at night and they block off all entrances to see the animals. Many years ago it was all open, but very few animals came out anyway. This is totally for the lights and light show to... More

The lights were beautiful, but the price was very expensive. I took my nieces who are both teenagers and I had to pay full price for me because there were no discounts for seniors or students. The snacks for sale were also overpriced .

We went to the zoo on a sunny December day with a 1 year old, 3 year old, parents and grandparents. There is lots of parking and attendants to point you to a spot right away. Despite the parking lot being busy, there was no line to buy tickets to get in, and the zoo is big enough that it... More
