Was nice. We got there around 12:30p in late November. Trail on side of lake was not well maintained and ended at the dam.

Paid my $3 parking and went in at 8:00 a.m. On a Thursday. No one there. Nice picnic and play area by the lake. I began my hike near the lake, after half mile I went inland to the Circle Trail that passes near the lake. I hiked out 2 miles and returned to the lake on a trail on... More

Goldwater Lake is a very developed park and fishing lake with lots of shade trees, picnic tables, boat dock, kayak rentals, group pagodas, and kid's playgrounds. A great place to bring a lunch and a fishing pole and have a nice family day. The entry fee is exceptionally reasonable at $3 per car with in and out privileges (as well... More

This lake offers great hiking and also a good beach area for our doggies to play in the water. It was busy with hikers, bikers and campers, but it offered an all around experience for adults and doggies!

We had a very enjoyable day of fishing. We got a few bites but no fish. The guys next to us were catching several trout. Funny thing we were using the same bait. Guess it just was not our day to catch any. The sights were beautiful and we took away some great pictures and great memories!

Goldwater Lake is a great place to visit if you're in the Prescott area. I went with a hiking group last year and enjoyed the easy-to-moderate hike. We turned around at about 3 miles so total hike was an invigorating 6 miles (approximately).

Drove up for a day trip to do some fishing. It was very crowded due to labor day and the fishing was not very good. The lake is beautiful and view is amazing.

I had read that Goldwater Lake rented kayaks so a few weeks ago we took a drive to Prescott and went to Goldwater Lake. When we arrives we noticed the Lake, while beautiful, was a bit small. We hiked around the trails but did not rent kayaks. I prefer Lynx Lake.
