Rodeo 2020

They do such a great job here.In 2020,they were very careful about social distancing, but the Rodeo was up to their high standards.

Super event!

Went to the rodeo on Sunday afternoon with the family! Had a great time watching from the Skybox! The seats were covered so no blazing Arizona sun and they had backrests! If you are visiting the Prescott area around July 4th put the rodeo on your bucket list! Arrive early if you want to shop for authentic western clothes and other cool stuff, as well as picking up an adult beverage to enjoy while watching the rodeo action! We’ll be going again next year for sure!

We were in town to visit a relative at the V.A. hospital, and took a little time for us as well. We saw the fireworks show at Watson Lake, watched the parade in downtown Prescott, and went to the Rodeo. What a fantastic time! This city has every last detail worked out to the minute! Things roll along smoothly, there is always something to do and see, and it was just an outstanding time. We WILL be back next year for this event!!

Geniune Americana Rodeo

We went to the first evening of the rodeo. The rodeo opened up with prayer and thanksgiving. The procession of the horses with riders and flags was quite impressive. The cowboys competed for money and were serious about doing their best. From riding wild horses to bronco riding to bull riding, the action was non stop and exciting. The skill and courage of the cowboys and cowgirls was quite impressive. The animals were treated with respect and concern. A great show for the whole family.

Fun time
Jul 2019 • Couples
There was more action with the horses than the bull riding so we’re a little disappointed but still enjoyed ourselves. Ate typical fair type food and was all delicious! We unfortunately waited until the last minute so we had to sit in west end with no cover so it was a bit hot. However, it has the best view in my opinion. We went and sat in the lower and upper level as people started to leave to test out the seats and they are covered and more comfy with a back rest but view is the best in west end, $25 a seat. $5 to park, clear bag policy, you can get a clear bag with handles there if you need one. You can carry in a cross body bag/purse the size of a clutch and let me bring a blanket to sit on. Go in gate 3 to park - easy in easy out.

My wife & I and a friend of ours took in the opening evening of the “World’s Oldest Rodeo”. From the opening ceremonies through the closing event -bull riding- it was a fun-filled & festive affair(about 2 & 1/2 hours). The Master of Ceremonies & the lead rodeo clown kept the near-capacity crowd(this was a Monday night!) engaged with interactive comedy & a solid history lesson on rodeos. Featured events included steer wrestling, tie down roping,& saddle bronc riding. Women’s barrel racing was one of the more skillful & exciting to watch. This is a must-do in Arizona. Event is part of Prescott Frontier Days & runs for 7 days. We were thrilled to take part in this historic tradition!

A blast from the past in a 1930's rodeo arena
Sep 2018
Bring your seat cushion to this the covered stands on wooden bleacher seats. The show starts with a wild horse event. The cowboys and wild horses are released at once. The cowboys have to capture a horse, get a saddle on it, and buck away to get points. Really good!
