Played Arroyo and Lakes courses today 9/12/16 and greens were in great shape but fairways and rough was way too long - I think since the grounds crew was spending all manpower to overseed 3rd course they forgot to mow. Played here before so I know great course. Always take the invite to play here when you can.

We played the Arroyo and Lakes combo at the Gainey Ranch Golf Club and had a nice time. Pace was pretty good, although we were waiting briefly on every hole for the group in front of us. The course itself was nice too, but nothing spectacular. Well maintained, but not what I'd call immaculately maintained. Some pretty holes, but nothing... More

These courses aren't championship level but who cares? The holes were interesting, not so good shots were usually forgiving and the greens were fun to putt (faster than Central Texas tiff bermuda). The bar/grill area after golf was very pleasant--good views, good drinks and very tasty food. We'll be back next year.

27 hole layout, we played Dunes Arroyo combo which was a pleasant experience. Course was in good shape, fast and true greens, a must play for ClubCorp members in the neighbourhood. Lots of tall trees requiring proper shot shaping. Be on the lookout for giant eagle's nest and bald eagle to right of 7th green on Arroyo course.

Played the Lakes and Dunes courses at Gainey Ranch on Saturday. The courses were packed with players, however the marshals kept play at a respectable pace. The weather was perfect, cool and crisp at first but sun was out and the sky was clear so warmed up nicely for January. The courses were in excellent shape. Just the right amount... More

This is about as average as average can get. We were let out about twenty minutes late and play was tremendously SLOW as the course had some large groups of serious hackers in front of us. We mentioned this to staff several times and were told the groups play slow. In other words grin and bear it. I have played... More

We got hit with a double whammy--virtually entire clubhouse is under construction (massive remodeling) and all 3 nines were cart path only as they had overseeded several weeks prior. This makes for a long and arduous day for two over seventy golfers!! Courses were in great shape, fairways green and lush, greens extremely fast and undulating (beware 3 putts are... More

We played the Lakes/Arroyo nines this morning, and enjoyed the beautiful, crisp Fall weather. The course, fresh out of overseeing, was cart-path only, but we still managed to play easily in under four hours. The fairways are medium width, but the rough wasn't excessively punishing. The real challenge is mastering the speedy and undulating greens. None of us were up... More

I payed to pay this course back in May 2015 I was told course would be OK . I played today 25/10 /15 what a waste of money they had reseeded and not cut ,they said be ok if few weeks ,think it been the worst golf course I have ever played , just wish they had said when booked... More

The golf club consists of three 9-hole courses. The course was in excellent conditions. The staff was very friendly. In fact, we had a memorable experience that we will never forget. We flew into Phoenix to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. The General Manager of Gainey Ranch found out that it was our 40th Anniversary and when we completed 9-holes and... More
