If you are looking for the typical tourist experience, then this is the place to go. The contrived city appears like an old west town, even though the city of Scottsdale was actually developed in the 1950's, so it's not very authentic in that respect. There is a very old Mission on the edge of Old Town that is interesting.... More

Good place to walk around, especially in the park area. Lots of tourist shops, especially selling jewelry. Enjoy the architecture and cultural places of interest. A one time visit is sufficient, unless you are attending a performance or arts/crafts event.

Don't miss this end of town when going through Scottsdale it is for some reason not on everyone's radar. Lots of new development trendy restaurants and nightlife. Perhaps the name old Scottsdale throws everyone off it is anything but. There is an area that is of the older town but with so much development perhaps this area of town needs... More

Scottsdale Old Town has many shops that have been in this location for more than 25 years, so this isa very stable retail environment. The store staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They reach out to guests and are very enthusiastic about their work - a tradition that has gone out of style elsewhere, even in the honey dipper South.... More

I lived in this neighborhood for 3 years so I am not a tourist. I love the walkability, the wide variety of restaurants and endless shopping from Fashion Square to local stores in the neighborhoods. Always love what happens around the canal with light installations and the occasional event. Not a big fan of the gallery scene. Some good stuff... More
