This is a lovely part of downtown Scottsdale. There are plenty of nice restaurants, art galleries and other boutique shops. You can do a bit of walking if you would like to to cover the whole area. I always enjoy going down here and walking around and stopping for a bite to eat.

The Marshall Way Arts District is in Old Town (heart of downtown) Scottsdale. Both sides of Marshall Way are lined with distinctive and upscale galleries that display some of the best artwork in AZ: paintings, sculpture, ceramics, Native American jewelry, etc.

This is a great place for unique little shops. I love going especially on Thursday evenings when the shops are open late. Such exquisite finds.

When the weather is great, a walk through Marshall Way Arts District is an enjoyable time. Lovely art galleries, interesting stores. Lately, I have noticed that some galleries and stores have closed up. Perhaps their prices were too high especially the art and sculptures which are in the thousands.

So many pretty things, so little time to see them all. Great place to window shop after dinner at local.nearby restaurants.

Went down to Scottsdale on Friday evening of Memorial Day Weekend. Most of the shops closed! I consider this a missed opportunity as many of us were dinning and looking. My rating also provides disappointment that these same shops have caused many of our Thursday nite river walk tents not to be open anymore as they don't enjoy the competition.... More

Scottsdale has changed over the years. There are fewer art galleries in this district than there used to be. That being said, it's still has value. There is a Thursday Night Art Walk, and some old Scottsdale charm to the area. There are a few restaurants in this district, but MANY nearby.

I'm not much for the crazy drinking scene so instead of heading to the Old Town restaurant and bar area I came here. It was great and I loved the different types of Southwestern art.

With the various slumps in the economy over the last few years, art sales in Scottsdale have been hit hard. Marshall Way was once so vibrant and offered such a fine array of galleries. Today only a handful of the prestigious galleries remain. There are numerous vacancies and shops that once were galleries are today selling varied products not related... More
