Fun hike, but only go when the ground is dry

We tried to hike this trail a few days after a snow fall. That was a big mistake. The first half of the trail was pretty, but super muddy. Ok - no big deal. We are hiking, after all. The second half and then the top of the trail is STEEP. Because the trail is north facing, it was incredibly... More

you better be ready for this one but the payoff is huge and it is a very different walk. By my calculations - about 5 miles - most is a rocky, but wide open trail with plenty of great views, then some climbing (always steps, you could do it with no hands), then a little tougher but then you get... The end is not for the faint at heart or those afraid of heights. The dirt road from the parking area is dusty and seems twice as long on the return trip if you don't have water. The rock stairs are helpful toward the top, but it is challenging. When you complete the hike and go out on the bridge,... More

Beautiful views of the Redrock surround you. Quite a challenging run of steps toward the top especially for short legs, but worth it for the view.

This was our first hike during our four days in Sedona. We started late for this seven mile route we selected. Got back at sunset. The last section to the bridge is challenging.

Not as challenging as Cathedral Rock, but really impressive bridge. Fairly busy, but that wasn't a problem.

If you intend to go to Devil's bridge, make sure you bring water and good shoes. It is a hike. There are a couple ways to get there. The dirt "road" from the parking lot is a few mile hike, or across the desert from the remote parking. Then when you arrive you have to climb up 80 degree "stairs"... More

We made sure to get out on the trail first thing in the morning to beat the crowds - and we're glad we did. It allowed us more time at the bridge and for photos. Crowds of people heading up the trail as we were hiking out. To avoid crowds and Jeep traffic, take the Chuck Wagon trail to the... More

Not many arches in Sedona versus Utah, but this one is great. 2 hour round trip with a bit of a steep section at the end gets you to a breathtaking view. Excellent photo ops and canyon views, pretty accessible but not visible from below. (Neat!) Unless you have 4wd, need to park at the further ahead trailhead, but that... More

It's another great trail with unique views in Sedona beside Cathedral Rock trail. It took us about an hour to get to Devil's bridge, First we had to park our compact car at side of Boynton Pass Road since the parking space at Dry Creek Vista was limited, then hiked along Vultee Arch/Dry Creek Rd to the trail head. The... More
