It is a quick little hike you can easily do within 2 hours. I was on a road trip and got a morning free while my friends doing laundry, so thought of climbing cathedral. It is considered as a strenuous hike on some sedona which takes like 45 mins but I completed it within 31 mins without much of a... More

There are many levels of the climb from the base which are both subtle and then very challenging the higher one goes. Bikers and Hikers populate this popular site. The paths are well maintained and are helpful for those who might hold some trepidation for the climb.

We went to Sedona over Thanksgiving week and did a few hikes there, this is by far my favorite!! It's intense though. I was expecting a hike, this really isn't a hike. It's more like endless rock climbing. Most of them you can walk up and down, but there are many spots where you will have to use all four... More

Today was our first day hiking in Sedona and this was our first hike. Wow, was it breathtaking! The first short while it's relatively easy, but there will be a rock scramble to get up. Luckily it's not long and only moderate in difficulty. It's so worth to get to the very top, where you can see the rock surrounding... More

This was a great place to visit. The park has bathroom facilities as well as picnic tables. I think the fee was $10 a car. No map is provided so listen to the park attendants instructions when you come in. There were lots of people there taking family photos. We ended up walking through the creek to get to the... More

I did this several years ago and am just now posting. Go to Back o Beyond and follow the trail. Not for the faint of heart but worth the effort.

Exactly what we were looking for (strenuous, challenging, exerting, with fantastic views at the top)! Wow! This is one of those trails where the trail is loosely marked by either caged rock stacks or directional white paint on the rocks. Choose your route. The moderate to hard climb would have been pleasing enough, but then when you get to the... More

We had fun hiking up Cathedral Rock although we didn't make it to the top because it was too steep for our family to manage

Red rocks, Oak Creek, breath taking views. Wonderful saunter. Easy stroll that offers much more. Make certain to take side trip to Oak Creek, especially during warm weather months.
