Experience the desert terrain of western Sedona with the thrill of a half-day ATV tour. Ride along rugged dirt trails surrounded by steep canyon walls, red-rock bluffs, and brush, stopping at lookouts and other remote locations far from the crowds. Your guide leads you to the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, and points out movie filming locations along the way.

There's no other way around it, the mother is tough. We made the mistake to warm up on the mountain across the street...not need! If you want to enjoy it to the fullest, (no matter the shape you are in) take 5-6 hrs so you can enjoy it and not attack it to finish it like we did. We only had 10 minutes at the top. Take more water than you think you'll need...summer or winter! :) Now, don't go home without it! Enjoy :)

We're not experienced hikers but we are runners, so in pretty good shape. This trail took about 4 hours out-and-back including when we stopped for photos along the way & stopped for snacks. Real walking time was probably about 3 hours out-and-back total. We didn't know too much about the trail except the 360 views at the top and 5 miles RT. There were so many peaks, we kept getting excited until we got to the top and saw another one. Lots of GREAT views along the way if you can't make it to the top. Your calves will probably be burning by the end. 100% worth it for the fabulous photos you'll get!

(I'm the husband of the sharp gal in this member photo) - This is my favorite hike in Sedona, the toughest trail right in town. I'm an aggressive hiker and pounded this baby out most recently in 2:26 on a cool March morning between rain showers. Great red rock country views, steep with huge sandstone steps in some narrow spots, also includes some not-to-close exposure and cliffs with stunning views from a 'saddle' approaching one of the false summits. This is an absolutely fantastic hike and the bold red rock views remind me of some the bigger hikes in Zion NP, for example Observation Point as well as the West Rim Trail.

This was a great trail, but be prepared for doing a lot of climbing up, beautiful views as you go up, you can see clearly beyond red rocks. Would not want to do this trail in hot weather.

Tough hike but the views are amazing, is only 2 and a half miles and same back but it is a straight up hike, some difficulties on top to find the trail, just follow the signs.
