This was a great easy trail to navigate. I believe it was about 2 miles partly in the shade and flat with no elevation. Perfect for a hot day and the view at the end was beautiful

Great fri first time hikers. Gentle walk through the woods. Plenty of shade and beautiful views of the red rocks up close. The end of the trails finishes at a rock formation that you can climb. More advanced than the hike up, but short and...More

We took the Fay Canyon Trail because we heard it was pretty easy and no large climbs. This was true. It was very easy and not crowded. It’s important to take breaks and look up at the beauty of the rocks all around. When you...More

You can make this as easy or as hard of a hike. If you stop at the top to view the vista like everyone else then this is a very easy hike, but if you decide to keep pressing forward following a faint path and,...More

An excellent suggestion, The trail is in the shade most of the time, it is well maintained and enjoyable. On memorial day weekend it was crowded but it was not unpleasant.

We were in Sedona on a very busy Memorial Day weekend, so this was recommended as a trail where we could actually find a parking spot! Did the hike with an 8 and 5 year old and had a great experience. Relatively flat most of...More

This is a flat trail that takes through shaded trees to Fay Canyon. At the end of the designated trail, one can climb the rocks and get a breathtaking view of the valley with the Bell Rock in the distance. It's a serene and gorgeous...More

This short trail is a good warm up to the area. Not difficult, but gives you an idea of what the terrain in the rest of the area will be like. Do this one first and then go do Doe Mtn or Bear Mtn.

This was recommended as an easy hike. I tried it out so I could introduce my wife to hiking. It is very flat and shaded alongside a dry river bed. I didn’t find the scenery interesting until the end on the canyon. This will not...More

Hiked this with my family and it was a good beginner’s trail. Super sandy so wear the proper shoes. Once you get to the end of the trail, we climbed up the rocks to look at the canyon - definitely worth it, but it is...More
