Welcome to the Birthplace of HISTORIC Route 66! In 1987, Angel Delgadillo, the kindly crusader, led the charge to save the Main Street of America; Route 66. The Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona was formed to protect, promote, and preserve the Mother Road. The grassroots association and Angel's charisma have captured the world's attention. Today there are Route 66 associations worldwide.Angel and Vilma opened the very first Route 66 gift shop in 1987. The once pool hall and barber shop is now a unique blend of gift shop, barber shop, visitor center, and museum. The museum is dedicated to all the people who have made the pilgrimage to Historic Route 66 from all over the United States and the world. Your road trip is not complete until you experience living history at this Route 66 landmark!

Nice piece of history but definitely a tourist trap. It's a great photo op and the old barber room felt like a step back in time.

If you want to purchase some Route66 merchandise, this is the best place to get it, Angel is the man behind the resurgence of route 66 and the reason that any of it is left. Free coffee whilst browsing too.

Historic place but not much to look at. As for being a route 66 gift shop there are several in town with better selections.

Established and run by true and genuine Route 66 icons, this stop is a must-see. Apart from the usual R66 paraphernalia & trinkets, it offers some insight into the background of the R66 rave and the history of Seligman. You can also get drinks at A&V's.

This is the birthplace of the reincarnated Route 66, Angel Delgadillo (90 this year) started the Route 66 Assn in the mid '80s and his barber chair is still in place. Charming daughter Myrna runs the shop, which has the highest quality Route 66 merchandise.

Yes it is a cheesy gift shop but it's also a Route 66 landmark. Lots of unique Route 66 items you won't see elsewhere. Great vibe and just a fun little stop. Be sure to look into the barber shop for the special Burma Shave sign!

Worth a visit just to sit in Angel's barber chair & imagine having a shave with a cut throat razor. The shop has all sorts of novelties & clothing at reasonable prices as a remider of the " Mother Road ". Also take 5 minutes to visit the outlaws jail opposite to remind yourselves of the Wild West.

Angel is the reason Route 66 is alive and well in Seligman! Stop in and say hi and get your photo taken with him. Lots of photo ops. Lots of 66 merchandise. If you have time for a shave, Angel will provide a smooth one for you.
