I had the opportunity to meet the Transport Heritage NSW steam train trip from Central To Loftus for a trip to the Tram Museum.I always enjoy a trip out there and remember taking the kids there when they were little. The look around inside with the CE of city rail and the CEO of THNSW plus others provided an interesting... More

You must visit this place at least once in your life. Very interesting glimpse into the past of Sydney, and other places that use trams. The guys that run this place put their heart and souls into it....it's their passion and it shows. Visit and leave a donation.

A must see for any rail/tram enthusiast. This centre displays Sydneys tram history very well incorporating a number of preserved trams and buses. Jump aboard one of these preserved trams for a historic journey down the former Royal National Park branchline to the former terminus. Overall I had a great time here and helped support a wonderful group of volunteers.

The museum (run by volunteers) is a very interesting place. Whether you are old (and can reminisce about what it was like in Sydney when there were trams running) or whether you are young (and can inspect and experience what trams were like as transport), this is a good place to visit. The museum of trams is extremely well laid... More

We were on a coach tour yesterday, and went to the Sydney Tramway Museum. I am not really in to this sort of museum, but have to say that it was really interesting, particularly the photographs of the old trams. We also went on a tram right across the Pacific highway which was good fun making all the cars stop!!!!!... More

This place takes the visitor back to the olden days of Sydney when trams trundled the streets. On Sundays trams run into the nearby Royal National Park giving a good short trip where the local birdlife & possibly a wallaby can be seen. There are also a few historic buildings which have been transported & rebuilt onsite.

I have taken a scout group on one occasion and my grand kids on another. This is a unique and worthy trip. It runs on "the smell of an oily rag", which means it runs because of the passion and enthusiasm of its volunteers and the donations of visitors. The museum experience is interesting, informative and eye opening. The actual... More

Most trams you are able to walk thru and take photos of. There are also several information boards with pictures on the walls also. There are several staff to either walk you thru... More

We were greeted by Peter who explained the tram museum and what there is to see and do. There is a big tram shed with a collection of reconditioned trams to see and tram rides included in the price. $18 for adults $12 for concession. In the tram shed there are 100s of old photos of Sydney and the old... More
