Our group of 5 'senior' female hikers absolutely loved the unique beauty of the Havasu Canyon. After parking at a very busy parking lot at the top, we hiked the 8 miles in along a very obvious rocky and sandy trail. Bring a bandana for the dust that inevitably gets kicked up by the many horse/mule trains descending with heavy... More

Gorgeous falls but pretty technical to get to and if you fall and get hurt that is NOT good as you are in the middle of nowhere. One of the most amazing places on earth and if you do the 11 plus mile hike you should definitely check it out!

This is the 2nd stop on the trek, just after the campsite. It's definitely a tough climb down the chained walls and stairs but well worth it

The stairs and chain get very slippery,, make sure you have proper foot gear. To me this is the one to see, the drop is beautiful

We only had 1 day in havasupai. After hiking for 8 miles to the village and then going to havasu and navajo falls we were so tired to go down the mooney falls. You can enjoy their beauty from the top but i wish i had more time to go down! It looked like a tough hike.

I actually thought this waterfall was prettier than Havasu. I'm not quite comfortable with heights so it took me a very long time to climb down as I think ppl below were waiting to watch me just in case. The iron bar/ rock climb down is a bit intimidating as the rocks are wet from the water blowing off waterfall.... More

The fall is amazing! But if you want to go down the fall, brace yourself. You have to go through 2 tunels not too long but narrow after there's some kind of stairs with metal chains to hold on to 😧 After the wet ladders ! I am 57 in good physical shape but don't like height, it was a... More

We were told before heading to Mooney Falls that we would be physically able to climb down and up, but that it would definitely push us outside our comfort zone.... and that was very true. But once down, it was worth every step.

These falls are just wonderful. The walk is worth it and bring a lunch and have a great picnic. Its just a wonderful place to spend the afternoon before heading off to the next one.

The climb down the side of the mountain to get to the base of this waterfall was completely worth it. I was scared to death but was so very happy I overcame my fears and climbed down to see this majestic waterfall. The carribean blue color of the falls in this area is absolutely breathtaking. It is a must see... More
