The shows they bring here are great, but the parking situation is horrendous. With no good signage, police directing traffic in ways not towards parking, you can walk forever and be late for the show, even though you get there in plenty of time. The building is old, seats are tired, dirty, bathrooms are bad.....I wish there was somewhere else... More

I've grown up in Phoenix my whole life, but have been lucky enough to see a wide range of theatre from small theatrical performances at local community theatres to many large broadway shows in NYC. Gammage is well-equipped and managed and gets all of the major broadway shows and tours. It's quite large with fairly ample room in the seats.... More

Repairs definitely need to be finished. The bathroom situation is horrible at this point but the actual show was entertaining and we had no problem seeing the stage or hearing. The building itself is very interesting and the staff was very helpful. Decent prices for the show as well.

We saw the Carole King musical Beautiful last night at Gammage. This place has always been a work of art but it is sadly showing it's age. It will be great when renovations are complete. Meanwhile sound quality is an issue and not letting people into their seats earlier are two things that could change now. Thoroughly enjoyed the show... More

We are Broadway fans and subscribe to the Broadway series here. Frank Lloyd Wright, who designed it 50+ years ago, was known for a lot of things in his designs and none of them had to do with livability or sound design. The new million dollar sound system is useless because the touring Broadway shows want to use their own.... More

This is a huge theatre. Parking could be an issue, so come early. It's all outside parking, so in the summer, cars will cook. Once inside the auditorium it's very comfortable with good views from most seats. The big problem is the crowding in the foyer which is completely inadequate for the size of the theatre and the large numbers... More

We are from Chicago where the theater scene is exceptional, but extremely expensive. Upon relocating to Scottsdale, we were surprised to discover ASU Gammage! Excellent performances at first rate theater, and the pricing is a bargain. This is our second year as season ticket holders and we have enjoyed every event! There are also many great restaurants for pre-show dining... More

I love Gammage. Have had season tickets for years. They changed the parking this year and it is a nightmare.

Man....the more I go here, the more I hate this venue. The shows and performers are OUTSTANDING, but it is a true shame that this is the best venue that AZ has to showcase them in. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US, and this is the best that they can do? Embarrassing... Aside from the pukey colored... More

Have been season ticket holders for close to 20 years. Attended Cabaret matinee today and ushers allowed people to use the portal 5 door allowing blasts of sunlight into theatre during show. I accept that door is essential for disabled seating, but ushers need to monitor other and insist they use the lower portal door. Additionally place the usual curtain... More
