Hidden amongst the offices on Auto drive, Climbmax is a solid option for climbing. Lots of challenging routes, fun free climb stuff upstairs, and Richard is always there to lend advice or pointers. Upstairs they have a couple cannonballs and a suspended ladder to practice your ninja warrior skills on too. Like a lot of rock gyms, pretty dusty from all the chalk and they could update some of the exercise equipment. But we love this place and keep coming back for more!

Our Favorite Climbing Gym In AZ! Climbmax is our home away from home in Arizona. We have been to all the Phoenix area gyms as well as many other states and a few other countries for both indoor and outdoor sport and traditional climbing. Most guns seem to cater mostly to bouldering which we don't do much of. Climbmax is great because it has dozens of lead climbing routes to choose from at all levels of difficulty. The owners and their family are all really nice and greet us with happy smiles and make is feel at home. I cannot recommend Climbmax enough.
