This is not a humane place for animals. In a poorly maintained place, the animals were apathetic and disturbed by the constant noise. I was angry about the whole visit, how can this be allowed. However, I have seen previously well-kept places.

People seem to get confused but this is not turtle island. The turtles here are not for the tourists to pick up and have pictures taken with. This is a rehabilitation center and rescue place. They do good work here. We visited in the wrong...More

This is a great initiative and you get a little tour when you arrive from one of the staff there. The can see all stages of the conservation, from the eggs, to the babies, to the rehabilitation of sick/injured turtles. You can also pay around...More

This was a good experience. My daughter got to release a small turtle and she still talks about that. Entry is free. Releasing a turtle is 150k. Would recommend it.

The animals here are suffering in poor conditions and treated terribly. Forced to take picture after picture with tourists and with no rest. Turtles with not enough water! Snakes with mouths taped shut! Other animals just clawing at their gates wanted to escape! Wish I...More

I found this to be a very sad place. I think the turtles are treated disgustingly. I wish to erase this memory from my mind, who tapes a snakes mouth shut so photos can be taken with it. It's horrible... Please avoid!!!!

The turtles were worth seeing but the boat trip was a rip off and on the island itself apart from the turtles is the worst little zoo I've seen in a long time. Poor animals being handed around from tourist to tourist and their cages...More

This is the small rescue sanctuary and not the tourist trap that reviewers are getting mixed up with. Very worthy, passionate workers who rescue injured or badly treated turtles. They only ask a donation if you feel you want to. Well worth a look and...More
