The Goodenough Mine is one of the twenty five producing silver mines in the Tombstone Mining District, which started the mining boom which resulted in the incorporation of the City of Tombstone. When you take the tour, you will be shown through the original 1879 workings by a knowledgeable guide, and learn all about nineteenth century hard rock silver mining. You'll see what the ore looked like, learn about how it was processed, see some beautiful rocks and minerals, and artifacts and structures that have been in place for 130 years. This is one of the mines owned by Ed Schieffelin, the founder of the town, part of the Tombstone Mill and Mining Company, which he founded as well. The Goodenough Mine Tour is the most authentic and unique attraction in the City of Tombstone, and you'll see the results of the hard work of the miners. It's an experience that you will enjoy.

When you start, the tour guide gives you a little history on mining and then takes you through the iron gates into the mine. Inside you will go down a stairway that must go down a... More

The mine itself is pretty incredible, but be prepared to walked down and up a long staircase. You go down about 100 feet and have... More

This was the highlight of our trip to Tombstone. It was a guided, walking tour through part of an old silver mine. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. You need to be able to walk without difficulty and climb about 60 steps.

Our tour guide was awesome! Made the experience fun and interactive. I wasn't too keen on going under ground but I forgot all about that because it was so fun.

Having visited a lot of mines across the United States this was enjoyable but nothing special. A little over priced. The guide was very funny

My family & I were there last week (I can't remember if it was Oct 4 or 5). It was beautiful. The tour guide (wish I remembered his name) was was quite informative, but made it interesting. He was great with my 7 year old daughter- not burdened she was there. He was humorous and fun. As far as the... More

we had our own guide on this 45 minutes tour. Very nice guy took us 100ft deep into the mine. Very interesting to see and definitely worth the $15 each.
