The Rangers were very helpful and told us what the best way to see the sights would be. They had gorgeous pictures up everywhere and it was cool to look learn a little about the animals and history.

The IMAX movie was great! It gave the history of some of the tribes who first dwelt in the canyon, along with the story of the first expedition. Highly recommended! (Warning to parents with children: In true National Geographic fashion, female upper body nakedness is not hidden.)

Having done a helicopter tour I then went to the imax theatre here, it was fantastic, gives a good history of the canyon as well as amazing birdseye views, well worth the entrance price

The National Geographic Visitor Center is located in the town of Tusayan. It is within walking distance of all the hotels in the town. We enjoyed the IMAX presentation. If you stop at RP's Stage Stop next door you can get a coupon for a half off one admission if you purchase another at full price.

The visitor's center is amazing and the IMAX theater showing is MUST SEE! This should be your first stop before entering the Grand Canyon. Well-worth it!

Great review we are so happy you stopped first, I think it sets up an even better visit to the Grand Canyon because you'll see so much that you can't see from the rim. Thanks again for stopping and your review, Marty More
