The rangers were very helpful. They provided maps for the trails and explained the free shuttles. The free movie is great and shows the beauty of the canyon and Colorado river. The one thing that should be emphasized more is how dangerous the canyon is. It made me crazy seeing people climbing all around the edges of the rim. Apparently... More

This is a great place to stop and learn a little about the Canyon. We stayed here for a fair amount of time as the heavens had opened. The staff in here are always on hand to explain things and seem enthusiastic in what they are saying.

Loved the park. I did not see one scrap of litter in miles and miles of walking. The bus service around the park is great. You can walk one way on the rim and the get the bus back you you car.

They have a holographic presentation on the history of the canyon. It's very well done, a must see to understand what you are looking at.

The only complaint I have about this attraction is that there's too much walking! But that certainly not the fault of the Park Services. LOL! My husband and I didn't see all there is to offer here, just the gift shop and, of course, the canyon itself. I think there was some sort of quick-service food stand (hotdogs and snacks,... More

Parked our car here and spent a few hours at the GC. A visit at the center gave us info that made our visit more enjoyable

This is located by the South side of the Canyon. The centre has interactive trip planners, maps of the area and lots of interesting facts. You can hire a bicycle. There are also guided tours by bicycle in the warmer months. There is lots of good information on hiking too. You can also take a free shuttle bus which does... More
