Maybe it was just the day or time of year, but saw very little in the way of wildlife on this day. Certainly there was a variety of plant life here, an oasis in this desert area, but saw only wandering cows for animal life...More

A very interesting collection of desert plants in a park-like setting. You can observe the riparian action of the Hassayampa River, which is quite unique..

We try to get here at least once a year. The trails are lovely and easy---wonderful wildlife and bird sightings, a very special place.

This river valley full of cottonwood and mesquite trees was an interesting counterpoint to the surrounding desert landscape. Quiet and peaceful, the trail were relatively easy walking, though most are not wheelchair accessible.

This is a really pleasant place to visit. Serious birders really like it and you can see lots of birds and other interesting small wildlife if you are observant. It's just a pleasant place to spend some time.

I have visited Hassayampa River Preserve several times. Most people like to visit during bird migrations, but I love the quiet, peace and coolness in summer and the crisp freshness of late fall. Seasons in the desert get confusing, but a short walk, longer hike...More
